The Official 2023/24 Premier League Thread

Would take Watkins in a heartbeat. Martinez is a good keeper. McGinn and Luiz are underrated but beyond that, they have no real standout players.
there in lies the issue
Konsa is great
All their CM options are very good.. kanara is quality. McGunn is showing why Fergie wanted him

They have a squad full of players that are "top 6", most of which MIGHT make it in the so called "top 4" AND most of them are 24-31.
Murphy is 22 and then I think Disney is the next youngest at 24.
All the defence is super experienced.
I know it might be a lazy comparison because of Diego Carlos, but there is something quite Sevilla about them.

If Martinez is unavailable, Olsen is a terrible back up.
If Watkins is unavailable, it's a big step up for Duran. So we'll see how they go across a season.
A bit like us, they either need a striker in Jan or faith in their young South American prospect.

This is Watkins's first standout season and he rarely presses - probably not much of a fit for us.

I think Martinez has profile because of his antics. Underneath that there's a decent but unspectacular keeper.

No one’s mentioned Diaby and Bailey, who have been great this season. Villa are were they should be but I’d be surprised if they can keep it up. Think it’ll be close between Spurs, Villa and Saudi Sportswashing Machine for 4th, 5th and 6th.
