Yves Bissouma

What more can I add… really fits into Ange’s system and I’m sure he will be the literal and figurative anchor for our midfield. Also had some clever flicks and short one-touch passes on top of his dribbles and shielding if the ball.

May be unfair, but one of my biggest gripes with Conte last season was Bissouma looking like a shadow of himself under him. Brilliant to see him looking so outstanding today.
He looked poor
Slow
Ploddy
Almost like everything he wanted to do was being controlled by someone else

best ever game, but needs to take more care with his passing, had some brilliant drives forward only to cough it up cheaply

He was very good today. Almost like seeing Dembele! His ability to get out of tight situations, surrounded by opposition players was a joy to watch!

I know this will probably not go down well with some but for me he could be better then Dembele. Do not get me wrong as Dembele was a top player but he never really had a finish to his play. What i mean ( imo) he promised so much but then was slow to deliver the killer ball, Yves seems to have more finish to his work.

Yep, Dembele was WC until the final third/ball.

Can't wait to fudging see Bissouma and Bentancur (with Maddison), try and take the ball of that midfield ..

It was , no doubt.
Being frozen out for two months must have hurt his confidence and then Conte saying in a presser that he was basically too stupid to get the tactics and his role within the team must have shattered what confidence he had left.
No wonder, even when he got a rare chance he was edgy and negative all the time !
Btw , similar treatment of Richy, which I don't think he's recovered from yet and hasn't had enough game time in pre - season ( because of Kane playing) to recover some of that confidence and sharpness.

In what role? Udogie will play the majority of games as LB, and at LW we have Son, Perisic and Solomon. Don't see Sess as a better option than any of them.

This is likely the final season at Spurs for Perisic. Not a skill issue. He looked decent against Brentford, but If he could be sold this window, I think Sess would quickly be integrated into that role just for what he offers as a younger player.

What do you see him offering?
