Transfer fred.

This is insane. One of the dumbest transfers I've ever seen. £110m based on what?! They could have got 2 or 3 quality midfielders from Europe. Caicedo might be good but come on now. £110m??

Wow what's he done to be worth that? Looks good but needs to show his form for longer.

So much for Klopp complaining they can't afford the big fees and passed on Bellingham.

May not have had the funds at the time but have benefitted from Saudi money

I think they passed on Bellingham because Madrid offered more wages, they could afford his fee it seems.

Yeah probably didn't make sense at the time, I think Bellingham will be a great signing. Real as a whole have really got their act together last few years, hoovered up all the worlds best young talent for massive fees. If the majority of them develop as expected then in 2-3 years they'll have some team.

Only for Mbappe to walk in and fudge it all up

I've got a feeling that the Saudi purchases are probably structured with a lot of the payment up front, oiling the wheels of the more traditional multi year spread out transfer payments.

There is no negotiation, not terms ... its just lumps of money upfront to talk to the player, then lumps of money for the agent, then lumps of money for the club ... no nonsense ... they shop for players like they are buying their weekly shop ...
