Transfer fred.

I don't know why you lot bother. Every day the threads are cluttered with primary school level explanations to counter the dumb things posted. I can't work out if they are WUMs, gooners or idiots, but just block them and starve them of air. I miss @Crawley, he wouldn't have stood for the brick on this forum.

He moved to Panama, git a job at the airport out there, started on his second family.

No because before their stadium they spent money and did some good things with titles, had a brilliant transfer strategy and recruitment ... our owners don't do they?

We spent at a reasonable level before the stadium got rolling, a poster on here done a break down down of our transfer spend under ENIC a while back which showed us to be around the 4th/5th/6th biggest spenders before the stadium project (including the period leading up to it with the planning proccess and what not) think it may have been @elltrev ? We then had a prolonged period of balancing the books while the stadium build was on going and then now we're past that we are now spending at a level of around 4th highest iirc

Net spend though before the stadium wasn't big (almost 0). Although it's when we bought our best players.

Yep it was me, well-remembered!

Each row is average annual net spend across previous 5 years.

09 line is where stadium was announced, 01 line is where Levy took over.

If you look at the 10-11 row, our 5-year average annual net spend was only behind Emirates Marketing Project.

A big old case of recency bias when it comes to Levy it seems (but at the same time ignoring the even more recent 4-5 years where we’ve started spending big again, lol).

You made the statement that since the stadium has been built we were cheapos.

If you said we have spent badly, i'd agree.
If you said i would like someone else instead of levy in charge, or new owners. I'd agree.
If you had said the years since the stadium had been built have been disappointing. I'd agree.

But you have to go full bs about the club not spending money since the stadium build.

Keep it to reality and you might have everyone agreeing with you.

Sometimes I feel like blocking the worst of it but it'd end a very quiet forum and just an echo chamber.

I'm sure many feel the same way ... but there are other forums about ... perhaps just keep off the forums and tell yourself that your opinion is the only one that counts perhaps

No wonder I couldn't find the colour charts in B&Q

50m seems an awful lot given what I've read of him - PL clubs get rinsed don't they?

Yep which makes the whole "just pay the money" even more ridiculous IMO, yes we need to get new bodies in but it also does not serve any one good if you get absolutely rinsed for players either. Especially a player who no one knows how good they actually are likely to be in the Prem.

If we can get VDV and Phillips in by the end of the week, start of next week, what do we still need?

Start selling the deadwood, but another CB? Anything else?
