Harry Kane MBE

I disagree with this. I think they've shown a fair amount of ambition already. Bidding £70m for a player who can be secured on a pre-contract deal in just over 5 months is fair. I suspect they'll end up agreeing a fee of around £85m to £95m, where the last £10-£20m is in bonuses. Whether Kane then accepts a move is another matter.

I take the other view. I think Kane would accept the move, but I more struggle with Bayern matching Levy's price (which won't be a negotiable amount)

We have plenty of talent
It’s just not being used
We also seem to have scouts finally
But that isn’t the key to thsi working
The first thing we needed was a coach who wanted to be here… we have that
We also needed a philosophy that can be translated onto the pitch.. we have seen that already
Anges is already showing things that Poch needed a year to show. That’s because he is a experienced

we do have to shift the brick. That’s never quick despite what fans think. That is a legacy of previous managers demanding but not coaching players to improve. You won’t see that with ange as he won’t keep players here who aren’t with him

and finally.. anges way of playing is all out attack which should suit Kane, but Kanes game is very different or what ange has used to date. There could be a compromise there because Kane is fudging brilliant, but that should only happen if Kane is committed. Right now he is only committed to winning medals for himself and that’s why he wants to leave. I really don’t have an issue with that and think we can both benefit if it’s done right.

my worry is that Bayern are acting like shisters… they will IMO eventually get close to the money buy it will all be ok the never never.
Such as what Bedford?

The only reason I can think that Levy would price Kane out of a move is if he is concerned about the fan reaction to towards him personally. I hope he doesn't factor that in to this and instead makes the best decision for the club (which IMO is to ensure we have transfer funds to reinvest as we still have weak areas in our first team and need funds to address these).

But they know the asking price is much much higher
They are teasing their fans
I still think they will end up with a cheaper option and will blame us

Tactical changes
We are already playing a very different style of football
Poch system took 6 months before we saw it (because he played some of his chosen lieutenants who he did bin off?)
I know fans will say I’m wrong but I went to every game in Poch first season, home and away and it didn’t click. Nothing looked different to what we had been doing previously. And previously we were chaotic but did play some decent attacking football under Sherwood

and my post was in response to GB claiming ange is a novice… which he isn’t. He has got here the hard way and he knows how to take things forward. Hopefully we can back him as fans and the club can give him the time and the tools

Levy would take the money IMO
But he won’t sell him below the value he has

Harry Kane is the best striker in the world, around 90m is still reasonable given that the club bidding likely risk not getting him at all next summer, yes they can move on to others but others are not Kane.

I think we will eventually agree a fee in the region i mention and I think it's fair for all involved if it does

You mean like we did with Reya ?
Exactly this.

Crazy thing is there are a bunch of fans on here even who seem to want to put some misplaced feeling of pride ahead of the very real practical concerns. It seems like they want Levy to price Kane out of the market just so they say he's a hard negotiator.

They don't seem to realise we'll be negotiating ourselves out a significant amount of money for just one season.

I agree
We need to sell him as soon as we’re back from the tour and the transfer cogs start turning
It gives us time to buy and him time to get going at his new club
The key of course is Bayern acting like the mega club they are and coming in with a realistic offer
People need to forget his age and his contract and look at his value to us
That’s how you get a player form a stubborn seller
Kane with a contract is a £120-£150m player
Offering half of that with add on isnt going to work

I've not seen one single fan say we should play hard ball or put pride first? Maybe I missed it but I've seen people say that the price being the price should be paid, nothing outrageous about that. We shouldn't be giving Kane away to suit other clubs, that's not pride, that's common sense.

Kane with a longer contract is 150m player as long as I've a hole in my ar5e. Getting him for 50/60m less with a year to go isn't pride, its a bargain.

No matter how you paint it, Harry fcuking Kane for 90/100m is still an absolute bargain

Do you we pretended to bid for Mbappe and PSG pretended to bid for Kane this week to help each other out? Ie Get Bayern to reach the 100m mark or whatever we wanted.

Haha beat me to it.

At the end of the day, we have fans on here talking up Arsenal for signing Rice for 100m saying he adds a missing part.

Kane is that x10, guarantees you 40+ goals a year in all comps, increases a large portions of clubs chances of winning the league and comps over the next 3/4 years by a massive margin, in order to steal a march on your rivals to get that player, 90m would be the bargain of the century, even with a year left. If I could buy one player this summer as a rival, it would be Kane.
