All aboard the Alex Scott hype train

You can't buy and player then loan them out to another EPL club. It's the issue we had with Spence last year/why he had to go to France.

Not quite. You can't do it in the same window. We could have loaned spence to a prem club in jan.

Can't see us signing him if we can't unload N'dembele and Lo Celso. At this stage of his career he needs to play regularly and buying him and loaning him out would be wasting money for players we need now.

We signed Alli when we still were trying to offload Paulinho and Capoue. Sometimes you need to think longer term

We have Devine as a long term project and Dele was not the same type of player as the other two. I think any money we have should be spent on centrebacks that can improve us now rather than someone who may in the future.

I agree, Scott may turn out to be a great player but our priortys should be to upgrade the defense first.

We've already got 5 CBs, but, other than Maddison, we don't have any creative ballplayers. If Maddison flops or gets injured, our whole possession-based approach falls apart.

Well Stop! Hammer time but (imo) our priorty should be a CB who can play now, not a youngster who could take a while to get into the side.

The CB situation is much more critical than the possession attacking side, its night and day so to forgo looking at the CBs in order to sign this lad would be dereliction of duty.

Devine is probably a better back up to Maddison than Dier, Sanchez, Tanganga and Davies are being back up to Romero....

If we need to spend the cash on a starting CB then that's where the funds go first

I get this lad is a very well thought after talent and I have never seen him play so I ask this question genuinely, is he that creative and such a talent that we can not afford to miss or is this abit of a personal obsession on here? 7 Assists in his career so far although stat watching does not suggest he is massively creative on the face of it

Dier, who captained England at a WC, is not as good cover as an 18 year old who has only played 2 games of adult football in his life?
