I think it's gonna be Luis Enrique. Watch the media link him again over the next few days.

He turned down Napoli because he would prefer the PL (Apparently), wouldn't need to pay him any compensation, which Is a plus for Levy, and he loves using youth players.

I fully expect talks to progress well until they don't and it all breaks down once the topic of DOF comes up again.

I'm a little worried it'll be him, especially if it's true that Paratici is pushing for him.

Sorry I know you like him but nope. Celtic are a championship side that competes in a league full of sides that would struggle in league 1.

I don’t see him working here. Gone inside a year. In fact I don’t want to see him appointed I’d rather give in to Brenty Rodger’s.

Poor from the club if this is who we appoint.

Sounds like you’re judging the club and the league, not the manager.

Maybe , but Gerrard was seen as a decent manager off the back of his time up there. See what happened at Villa.

This will do nothing to soothe a fractured fan base. Don’t want to see it happen.

Gerrard could barely be more different to Ange. Has absolutely no relevance other than “managed in Scotland” so if that’s what you’re using to rule Ange out…that’s insane.

You want soothing a fan base? See the reaction of Celtic fans when Ange was announced, and see them now.

They have a hell of a system for succession planning
When it works, it’s brilliant
You need a structure in place and 100% commitment
The issue comes when a blip happens and one or two signings doesn’t work or the guy with the brains takes it somewhere else
Isn't that ok when you have 'a hell of a system for succession planning' ? :)

Up til now I thought he was ungettable but noises are coming out of Brighton about losing Caicedo and MacAlister and the squad being ill equipped to cope with 3 games a week might mean he could be persuaded to leave with his stock high. Probably just wishful thinking though.
They're in the selling club phase, RDZ will know this and be accepting of it. Plus they've been blooding a myriad of youngsters this second half of the season who all look to be decent. (Which might be down to scouting or coaching or both)

Got him a Prem job off the back of his spell in Scotland.

Of course, the Rangers job helped. But the main reason he got the job is because he was one of the best players of his generation.

Ange would be appointed solely on merit and his ideas for how to rejuvenate the club.

Just typical lazy analysis. Yes we get it - winning the league, potentially winning the treble in Scotland is nothing - my nan could do it blah blah.

It's not even about that. I watch plenty of Scottish football and the way he transformed Celtics playing style in a very short space of time was extremely impressive. Personally I have not seen a Scottish team play with such style in my years of watching. He gets his teams to play in the right way, an attacking brand of football that is very pleasing on the eye.

With the tools at his disposal at Spurs I would look forward to seeing with what he can do here and he will have my support....
