Christian Stellini - Acting Head Coach for a small part of the season

Just a Conte clone, nothing is going to change. Would rather see Mason in charge and get to see if he is damaged by his time under Conte and Mourinho or if he still has some of the Poch philosophy.

Did anyone really expect anything different? A(nother) terrible decision to put him in charge for 10 vital games.

I'm only glad that Mason isn't carrying the can on his own.

Funny you should say that. I was just wondering how tonight affects Mason’s ‘brand’.

If I were a young forward thinking coach I’d be pretty devo at being connected to the Dav and Moura subs. Especially when the manager comes out after and says we should have kept the ball better.

Stellini is clearly Conte mk 2. Surely Mason would want to be more progressive?

does Mason have a brand?

Stellini out now. He is a rank amateur. And a Conte clone. Obviously can't think for himself - same team same tactics same boring play and same dismal result. If you keep doing the same thing and think you will get a different result that is a sign of madness. Levy please put us out of our misery

It's on Stellini not Mason, won't impact anything.

Stupid to sack Conte. I mean you get Stellini with Conte. And Conte adds more to get us to the end of the season. Instead we have a coach who's a bit out of his depth.

The fans seem to drive the decisions. Whether Levy just acts like a fan himself, or whether he tries to listen to them, it's a bad trait. You need to act without emotion to choose the best options. Having Conte see out the season is a proven route to CL. Maybe Conte wouldn't have done it this season. Who knows, but we'd have made a fist of it.

Conte would have done exactly the same things

Yes but a bit better. Which might have got us over the line tonight, and 4th. But probably not. Conte is a proven coach, he knows what he is doing. Okay it wasn't fun and it was over, but at least see the job out.
I really don’t agree
Conte went super nature against a worst side in Southampton
It’s in his DNA and Stellinis too
