Antonio Conte - officially NOT the coach of THFC

He's tacticlly naive. He earns £15m FFS

Why is he unable to make changes? Change the system, change the players, change the tactics

The man is inept. He's a one trick pony
And this is exactly the reason why I would love to see us appoint Gallardo. He regularly changes the formation to suit the players, as well as the opponent. Poch tinkers too, but to a lesser extent. Would love to have a manager that will tweak the system to play to the squad's strengths, rather than demand a squad that suits his system. That's the mark of a great manager.

We were in 3 competitions, even with an unbalanced team. You were calling for his sack pre-surgery too?
No, I wasn't. I was just saying that, in general, being out sick is not an excuse to not get fired, if you were performing at a substandard level even before that.

Can’t wait until he leaves. He’ll spend the next 3 months slagging Spurs off though, can guarantee that.

Hurry up and get Poch.

Richy's interview hastened it. He's gone mate - weekend may be too soon, but as soon as we can get Poch in place, he gone.

Gallardo would have been an interesting punt, but let's be real here - if Poch is available, Levy's going for him.

I’m stuck in a strange place, trapped in a sort of limbo dimension if you will. It’s a joyless place characterised by just drifting with a lack of excitement and a feeling of helplessness.

It’s a place where results aren’t good enough to keep him but not bad enough to get rid of him.

This place has many forms. Some would call it purgatory. But I would call it…The Twilight Zone.

(…cue the theme music..)

The three letters that have kept Levy in a job…

NDA

If Conte wants his payoff, he’ll be saying fudge all.

His slagging us off might not be as direct as it is currently, but it will still come out - he has a few mouthpieces in the Italian press. He will absolutely do everything to make it look like he was hamstrung by Levy when we know the truth is Levy has backed him very well.

Eeeerrrhhmhm - let's not go overboard now mate. :D

Not to overcomplicate things mate but thkimg you described in respect ofbeing a Spurs fan, "In Bruges" called it before you did by many a year.

We could get Jesus reincarnate to manage us and we would win fudge all. But the pain of that is part of the glory.

I think I will be checking my phone on a regular basis throughout the work day.

Got tickets for the weekend, the weather may well play a big part in our decision to travel down.

But if Conte is still in charge on Saturday morning I think that will just make up our minds to stay at home in the warm. The return of Pochettino (which would put a smile on the face of Mrs PW for sure) would tempt us to do the round trip

Hard to believe what we are witnessing from this manager (even though I’ve called it out for months).

Last night I watched as key attacking moments for us fell to Skipp, Davies, Royal, etc. These players are decent defensive squad players - yet the manager deemed those guys to be worthy of starts that mean they have to operate in attacking areas at times in a Champions League knockout game that we had to win.

That is sheer incompetence.

He will rot with this system and we will rot with him.

Timing often helps with a new manager and our next 5 games are:

Forest H
Southampton A
Everton A
Brighton H
Bournemouth H

Get it done.

I’d take a manager who:
Actually wants to be at the club
Understands that fans pay to be entertained
Believes in being brave even if it does mean losing
Ideally Someone who engages with the fans again too

sorry it’s all about me… (the fans)
But we haven’t had that engagement and excitement from a coach for some time now and the only way things go forward are with a guy who gets that part first

Plus if we get Poch, we know he might stay for 5-10 years

If Gallardo does well, he'll be tapped up by Real, Barca etc

Get Poch in. He wants to come back, is proud of being our manager, plays good football, is a decent bloke

Its a no brainer
