Antonio Conte - officially NOT the coach of THFC

Frankfurt manager being linked this morning

We'll see lots of lnks over the coming weeks. The Sporting guy was linked this morning too

I still think that in all probability Conte will be here til May and then 50/50 that he starts next season, but Levy will no doubt have his short-list of replacements ready (and would be negligent not to have those names ready)

I would go for Vincent Kompany to replace Conte in the summer.
I think Kompany will stay at Burnley as they are nailed on to be in the Prem next season.

Carrick is intriguing though, especially if Boro miss out.
Their results are good but I've no idea what kind of style or system he's adopted, anyone know? Our Arteta?

Taking on too much without the experience required to get us where we need to be especially when the likes of pochettino, Tuchel, etc are available.

Difficult to predict which way Levy would go. With the Mourinho and Conte appointments since Poch left, it points you in the direction of experience...however in between he went for Nuno (though that always felt like last man standing after a dozen people said no).

Also difficult to guess given Paratici's arrival and what sort of manager he'd go for. He obviously pushed for Inzaghi and we had the Gattuso episode too (can't recall whether he was pre or post Paratici).

All that though suggests Kompany and Carrick are probably 1 job too early in their careers to be our next manager if indeed we are looking for someone in the summer

Thomas Frank and de Zerbi would be high up the list though IMO, in addition to Poch and Tuchel. Probably another 1 or 2 from Italy too given Paratici's fondness for looking there for players

Someone who plays attractive football please, preferably not a 3 at the back guy.

I don't care if it's a 3-at-the-back guy, as long as we have the meanest defense in the league. If we had just matched last season's goals against, we'd probably be 8-9 points better off right now.

Reckon Paratici will want Sarri or Spaletti

I mean, it has to be Poch right?

There is unfinished business on both sides. Story book. It’s either going to be glorious or a nightmarish… it’s the spurs way!

It won't be a first year rookie, absolutely no chance

I think after Conte the chasing for dead certs will have burnt Levys fingers too much for it to be someone similar

If Conte goes in the summer it will be Poch in my opinion, was going to be Poch after Jose, Levy and him absolutely get on regardless of the sacking
