HRH Queenie

I'm not really pro or anti royalist, could definitely be slimmed down and made a bit more fit for purpose now but it's nice to have a bit of history and tradition.

Took daughter up to Buckingham Palace on the weekend, organisation is a shambles - whole of Green Park was shut No signs, stewards or anything and tens of thousands of people wandering around without knowing where to go. After walking round for a bit only entrance had a 2 hour wait - not doing that with a toddler so went shopping instead.

Have been watching since 8am

It’s been an incredible watch especially the pipers leading the coffin to the Abbey

1st time I’ve ever seen so many of the Royals look genuinely upset, must be hard not being able to grieve pubically

Lot's of dead time

fudge me, church sermons are sleep inducing. I wonder if anyone is actually paying attention to any of the nonsense the bishop says or if they're just daydreaming about it finishing. Humans are weird. All this gonad*s we arrange after certain rules and say is important or whatever. Haha, some of the military geeks just stepped in horse brick. My favorite part so far. :p

They drag it out to the extreme. I get the point of having a bit of ceremony and choirs and pipers and all of that, but it could really benefit from being tightened up a bit. The ceremony probably fit better in older times, when the public was more patient and royalistic, I guess.

last time nobody would have seen it though, the public were not a consideration

If the public isn't a consideration - why do they do it at all? Surely, they, better than anyone, realize it's all a big imaginary charade? I thought they did all this crap just to show off to the public. But at the same time, I know they didn't want the coronation of her broadcasted, so you're probably right. What an odd institution. What must the aliens think of us. :p

Maybe they shake their heads and find another civilization to invade instead. Perhaps the royals have actually saved us all. :D
