Harry Kane MBE

Wow they both look meaner. Son looks like a yakuza hitman.

I would be worried, but for the fact I think Kane has his eyes on Shearer’s record….

as much as Kane wants to break that record i doubt it is greater than his desire to be part of a team winning leagues and champions leagues

Shearer played til his mid thirties with dodgy knees I am sure Kane will smash his record.

And then Haaland will smash his.

Yep. Nobody talks about shearer winning the league with blackburn. A lot of the younger generation probably don't know he played for them. It's all about his "record".

Possibly because shearer doesn’t have the trophies to compliment his outstanding goalscoring record is why his PL record gets highlighted. I mean people do talk about Messi and Ronaldo’s phenomenal goal tally but they also talk about their trophies and overall achievements.

Bayerns manager has publically spoken about Kane- i would take it as a given that they are actively trying to tempt him there on a bosman.

Keeping Conte happy is key. If we can nail down Conte to a longer contract and keep competing then I think Kane is more likely to stick around. Will be interested to see what happens if England win the World Cup. Will he be content to stay having won something or will it wet his appetite to go and win more trophies.

Worked for Hugo.

No way Madrid will pay more than City, it's why they got him in the first place.

They got him in the first place because Madrid were expecting Mbappe and did not want them both signing at the same time as it could unsettle the team dynamic and spirit, which many feel was the main driver behind achieving the double last season. And also because Haaland would replace Benzema and Benzema showed last season he has a couple of years left.

This is why Madrid and Haaland agreed together he would join in June 2025, although Madrid wanted him to agree to June 2024. Haaland however wanted his intermediate move to be something meaningful for his career so pushed for June 2025. They then together chose Emirates Marketing Project as this was a PL club that Haaland was happy to play for and crucially city agreed it was short term and would therefore allow a buy out clause that becomes active in June 2024, as long as it meant they made a substantial profit on what they paid for him. The parties subsequently agreed on €150m which is a bargain for Madrid and yet still a good profit for city.

The only question is when he joins Madrid, both parties originally wanted 2025 but as stated Madrid now want 2024 because of the bizarre actions of Mbappe.

It may all depend of whether Mbappe joins Madrid on a free transfer in June 2024, which Mbappe has been told is the only way he will ever play for Madrid after his insane actions earlier this summer.
