Because Royal is inferior offensively to Doherty, and we need to get more out of our wing backs. Which would also create more space for Kulusevski.

I don't see it as new guys not being ready just that Conte is sticking with an XI that has been getting results for him

Exactly. Give him something to think about and just make sure you do it after he's lifted his knee

There are a couple of things we need to fix.

The first is Perisic for Sessegnon. The kid is scared and is losing all his challenges - he needs hooking for a new face.

The second is to drop Kulusevski deeper - as a 10. He's isolated out on that right hand side right now, and that front three is disconnected from the rest of the team because Chelsea are stepping up and forming a line between Hojbjerg + Bentancur and them, knowing we can't play it through them.

Finally, we need to win those second balls. That has nothing to do with formation, it has to do with competitiveness, spirit. There are a lot of times we get the ball, someone tackles our lads, it goes into the air, and a Chelsea player wins it. That isn't tactics, it's desire, commitment. That needs to change.

So, nothing radical for now, but please - adjust the formation, hook Sess, and if the game is still like this come 60 minutes...hook Kane, bring Richarlison on.

If Doherty had played in the first half we'd probably be 3 down as we speak. He's doing great work. Our problem offensively isn't the WB it's the centre and the poor passing of the CBs. Doherty isn't going to dribble past 5 players to get the ball up the wing.

People need to stop getting their knickers in a twist when Son has one of his mares and people suggest he should be replaced.

Yes we all know he scores a good amount of goals, but we now have quality attacking options on the bench who create and score. I’ve seen Salah replaced a good few times when having a stinker, Son is not above this….

I think I would leave Sessegnon on for a bit longer but I agree with the other two changes.
One of Son or Kane have to be hooked of things don't improve very quickly in the second half.

When Chelsea has the ball, Loftus Cheeks comes into central midfield so Reece James can advance. That gives them the extra man in midfield in addition to Kante's ability.

Hojberg is also not playing well. Kane looks tired. Also Conte has to tweak his tactics. Tuchel is not a lazy manager. He has studied Conte. He holds a 100% record against him in the league so far.

Thought he was poor too. Off the pace and hid a couple of times. Like the boy but he wasn't good IMO.
