Alessandro Bastoni

Rumour is that Inter sold on the debt that they have from Chelsea for Lukaku last summer to bring in immediate funds.

It's all a bit complicated. They did a refinancing deal in jan, but it's not clear what the repayment plans are. The €60m was first reported by milan based Gazette dello Sport.

On top of this sunning inters owners have to pay the premier league £156m.

Well there’s a shock:rolleyes:

An Inter fan and a young Italian who seldom leave Italy at that age. There is always plenty of ‘noise’ when Paratici is enquiring about players in Italy, don’t know why so much was read into it when the player consistently said he didn’t want to leave…..

The kids on Twitter are going to have a meltdown, they had their hearts set on a player they'd never heard of 2 weeks ago.

Has he? There’s been reports of him not wanting to leave and of him being open to the move

if there was no chance of the move the two Spurs reps and his wouldn’t have been chatting.

we will see how this develops.

Bastoni was good under Conte and was also good after Conte left.
My original response was to a comment that "Conte will make him feel at home." He's playing great under a new manager, but in Italy. I just question whether in a different environment without someone to put an arm around him he will perform to the same high levels.

This must put inter in a very questionable place as they need to raise significant funds to service the debt. With an inter fan being incredibly stubborn and refusing to help as he is too much of a pussy to move abroad, what will inter do instead?

If they get dybala for free and loan lukaku then surely they will want to raise significant cash via selling lautaro martinez. Could be worth a look again?

Meanwhile lets press ahead now and take pau torres and bremer. Yes there are some incentives for bremer to stay in Italy but unless another Italian club comes in for him he is not turning us down to stay at Torino.

Shame if that's it. Guess there could be more twists to this, but we can't wait around forever.

Remain unconvinced by Pau Torres, not really convinced by Lenglet either. Can only trust Paratici and Conte to have good targets in sight. We have Davies so it's no disaster anyway imo.

Interesting you say that about Pau as a lot of observers think he’s the best of all the ones out there for the lcb role.

Think it was the Spain v Croatia game in the Euros that Pau Torres looked like a pub player….

On Bastoni, I feel like Ndombele was ambivalent about his move here but might be misremembering? Can’t remember too many precedents for players who had to be persuaded? Andy Carroll to Liverpool is one. Italian centre backs don’t seem to play abroad too much, I guess their league suits them well enough with an emphasis on defence.

Tbh I reckon Ndombele is ambivalent about getting out of bed in the morning.

So is Bremer’s only incentive to stay in Italy being able to become an Italian national and then play for them? Surely if he is that good he would want to play for Brazil?
I am just assuming by the way i have no knowledge of him personally.

Think there is some financial incentive as well.

Last year's news isn't as fresh :)

Facts are: left-footed, technically probably better with the ball at his feet than Bastoni (?), 191cms so 1cm taller than Bastoni. Torres probably isn't as strong, is a bit lighter weight than Bastoni. But he's another home boy, will he want to come to London?
