*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Stade Rennais***

That is a good result, decent opposition, our players getting to know one another. Huge well done to the fans who travelled, the whole Covid test thing put me right off (having been to France in the summer). Well done to the players, tubby looked a class above, if he can do that in the PL this season, we will do ok.

Strange game. Neither team was able to get any sort of rhythm to the game. It was constantly abrupted by fouls and injuries.

Not a bad result, but it's still a worry that we create virtually nothing! We were gifted both goals, and created next to nothing.

Doherty..... Worst player in our squad by a massive distance!! He's utter crap and then some! Our press, particularly on the ball, is terrible, and that lack of press led to both goals. In the end, a point away against the most difficult opponent is ok. Next.

A solid result, achieved with the support of everyone on here. It was important that we fought back after the Palace defeat, and we did. A tough match against a no nonsense opponent. Rennes are one of the better teams in this competition, alongside ourselves and Roma, so don’t underestimate our result tonight.
Let’s hope we can take the same spirit forwards with a solid performance and result against Chelsea.

This the same Rennes that are 11th in a tin pot league and who finished 6th last season?

I’m sorry but regardless of how “no nonsense” they are these are the teams that we should be beating. What has happened to this club?

We were Premier League runners up and Champions league runners up and now we are a happy with a point at Rennes? Even Hojberg seems embarrassed that we didn’t win it.

The same Rennes that lost their best player.

Getting a bit ridiculous with injuries and players missing. Emerson as a right sided attacker with Doherty behind him at right back.

Some positives, Gil, Ndombele, both getting quite a lot of minutes. Must show themselves as options at least. Some decent individual performances from several players.

Injuries are a real concern. We lack a lot going forward, but hopefully that will come with time.
