Japhet Tanganga

I like that Tanganga and his agent accepted that he needed a 30-game season away from Spurs. That's the right attitude, rather than all the "fight for my place" flimflam. He's put himself well up the RB pecking order. And if we did sign a clear 1st choice RB/RCB, I imagine that there'll be plenty of PL clubs happy to take him on a last-minute loan deal if the paperwork would be pushed through in time.

I thought he was fantastic today for an hour or so and rightly fouled Zaha to get a deserved yellow and stop their break... but then he went crazy and got up in Zaha's face yelling and shoving and stuff, what was that all about... I've never seen him go mental like that, did Zaha call him a bad word or something?

Then of course he continued to be mad and lunged into a silly tackle in midfield, stupidly giving Jon Moss the chance to send him off.

Looked to me like a boxing style clinch to stop zaha having a swing at him. Doesn't do that and imho zaha is off.
Why we didn't target zaha after that is a mystery and a disgrace.

Looked to me like Tanganga was the one walking forwards and Zaha was trying to push him away. Tanga should have stuck his chin out and begged to be struck!

Tanganga definitely knew he was in the wrong and trying to keep the damage to a minimum for zaha.
Loook at ayew rollling around the ground for tge red when he was barely touched, thats the difference, we wouldn't do that. And it hurts us.

If we don’t have a cheating coach that’s a big miss imo. Let’s get someone in to coach all of the good stuff, diving, time wasting, faking assault etc etc.

Yesterday proved for me that he's a CB. Thought he looked quite dominant for an hour. He's not a right back in my view. As good as he was against City, he was bloody awful in the following two games.

Loved his foul on Zaha too. Made me roar laughing. Shame about the rashness that led to the red card.

I thought he played really well
Yep the second yellow was daft. It came from him playing the ball out too

How could he have played really well if his rashness cost us at least a point? We have slated Sanchez after very good games spoiled by a single costly brainfart. Tanganga should be no exception.
