OMT - Tottenham Hotspur at Wolverhampton Wanderers

Unlike last weekend this game throws up entirely different challenges and it will give us a decent idea whether Dier and Sanchez really have turned a corner.

despite having a shaky first twenty minutes we looked defensively solid playing close to deep, aggressive in the tackle and being very compact.

Wolves however will require us to be far less compact, and we will have a proper striker to deal with, I would personally ask Sanchez to man mark Jimenez with Dier being tasked to mop up any pieces and their wing forwards cutting inside.

in attack they will be 3-4-3 and I would expect Trincao and Traore to hug those touchlines, big test for Japhet and Reggie to stop the supply into box.

Set pieces are also a worry for us with quality delivery from the Portuguese maestro’s.

let’s hope we can pin them back into a five man defence and overrun the centre of midfield with greater numbers and physicality.

We can do this but we will need to be as good as last week.
Good summary.

I'm expecting a very different challenge to the one Emirates Marketing Project posed. How we deal with that challenge is difficult to predict. If we get some breaks, first goal, avoid mistakes or could end up comfortable, but just as likely it could end up a real battle.

Hopefully we'll manage some good attacking play despite not playing as much on the break. If we manage that we have the players to cause them big problems.

Expecting Romero to start on the bench given that Dier and Sanchez did well against City and Romero apparently felt some discomfort midweek.

Potentially a big game for Alli. Nuno seems rather determined to what his role will be in this team. Up to him to get forward and do his thing in the final third from that role.

Finally also interesting to see how Kane looks if he gets on the pitch.

They each have fundamental problems which stop them being top CBs.

One good game, or two good games, won't change that

With the understanding they are not Ferdinand/Vidic level.

last time out they played with excellent desire, concentration, talked to each other and looked like competent defenders playing in an organised coaching set up.

By ‘turning a corner’ I only meant I hope to see more of the same mentioned in the above paragraph, which was missing many times from the pair of them last season.

Eventually I want Romero in.

+1, fudging have Sky, BT, Amazon, Premier Sports and a fudging season ticket and I can't see a game?

Paid options, rivers?
Cancel all of those (except the season ticket) and get a decent iptv. Gets you all of that + loads more for £60 a year!

Not sure why, when teams have a game on THurs evening, there cant be the option to reschedule their weekend game to Sunday evening rather than Sunday afternoon to avoid these sort of clashes

I actually meant that I'm missing the game due to a poorly planned sunday lunch booking so need to watch a full replay
