Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

The Telegraph reporting that in setting up a vaccine super factory has gone so well we have started sending them over to those terrorists in the European Union.

This government can get nothing right. What about the poorer parts of the world?

Fcuk off Boris.
They are, they're just getting there 10 years too soon.

Thought Maxwell was Czech.

Maxwell did not effect my pension. For years we were told to save for our retirements. Then brown did his thing taking away the tax in⁰centives and breaks and destroyed and sunk peoples pension pots over night.

If it was public sector workers that saw their pensions decrease by 40% in my case, then the would have been uproar. No one cared about the savers the working and middle class people doing the right thing.

In my case it was in a strange way a good thing because I got into property, developing and landlord. I made money and also made it harder for young and low paid to get on the property ladder. That is Brown's legacy, he was as bad as Thatcher for not caring about people if they were not his voters.

Sorry about that just trying to be facetious. Lucky I got out with my final salary deal.

Which was the problem. People whose pensions were not effected did not care that millions of us got screwed.

A few years after that I was walking down west street when teachers and police officers etc were having a march protesting about the newly elected Cameron government's austerity measures.

One of them spoke to me and asked if I would sign the petition. I asked what they were doing when my pension was getting stolen. Then I laughed in there face and told them to fcuk off.

A police officer in uniform came over and told me "why don't you fcuk off". As GHod as my witness I told him not to talk to me like that as it would take nothing for me to spend months watching for him to leave Brighton police station and follow him and then in the coming months do whatever the fcuk I liked. The colour from his face drained and he walked off.

The point of me retelling this true story is that people only care about what happens to them. They might say the right things to look good in a social setting. Like when racists say they have black friends. It is easy to say what is deemed the correct thing. Another point being that the young people joining the police force are both stupid and pussies, and when confronted with a genuine threat the high tail it out of there.

Not easy doing any job dealing with public as virtually everyone now days has no manners, feel entitled and dont know how to talk to people.

Yep which is why I put that stupid young policeman in his place.

I am very suspicious of people who want to become policemen and their motives for doing so. This is after having met new recruits.

not all Raab's fault. He probably had no data, i mean, who on earth envisaged all the mobile operators reneging on their promise not to charge people post Brexit eh.

BBC News - Logistics UK representing Freight Carriers: "The UK should grant 10,000 EU lorry drivers visas to solve a labour crisis that has led to shortages of goods on British supermarket shelves, a lobby group says."

Something rather unsettling about this image.

They should - that's how visa systems work
I've always assumed that you would be a firm proponent of supply and demand. Well in this instance, why would that not mean that lorry drivers salaries increase (as product costs increase under the principles of supply and demand)?

After all we left eu to protect British jobs right?

I wanted to leave to escape pointless regulation and the inevitable car crash that homogenised economic policy will bring.

The obvious solution to increasing drivers' wages is increased supply.

I thought you voted remain.
I did. I was selling and buying a house at the time in order to get my eldest into the right catchment. We only had 6 months in which to sell and buy, so I didn't want anything like that delaying the market.

We exchanged on the deadline day for applications in the end.

Always wanted to leave though, just voted for short term interests.
