Harry Kane MBE

Sorry mate but that is rubbish, he has done a lot of great things here and i have not seen anyone say he has not. What is tinkling folks off ( me included) is the way he has acted over the last couple of weeks. I have no problem with him wanting to leave i have posts one here going back for a while saying if we do not win something soon i can not blame him for wanting to move to a club that can offer him the chance to do so.

What has tinkled folks off has been the way he has gone about doing it, not turning up for training, mouthing off to Neville etc.

This is the majority view I think, I actually think what he said to Neville about squad was right as well.

There’s been a bunch of posts about Harry owing us because we’ve given him far more than he’s given us (I don’t think anyone owes anything, Spurs are a business and it’s a job for him). I’ve said in a few of my replies, I don’t like how he’s gone about it, but it doesn’t change anything that happened up until his last match for Spurs.

Indeed, we all know our squad has contained a lot of players who have not been putting in the effort for a fair while ( just to be clear i do not include Kane in that) but his refusing to turn up to training has shown just how much he loves the club and more important maybe is the lack of respect he has for his team mates.

Again i will say i have no problem with him wanting to leave and win things but imo there is a right way and a wrong way to do that. He has imo chosen the wrong way and shows a lack of respect to both the club and his team mates.

Neither side owes the other more than they are contractually obliged to.

Turning up at work is one of Kane's contractual obligations.

You said this (It’s pretty amazing that some people have convinced themselves Harry’s never done one good thing for our club) and that imo is rubbish i do not know any fan who thinks that, He has been imense for us during his time here but he is WRONG not turning up for training and whichever way you look at it what you posted above is rubbish. imo

Chelsea are muppets for paying that much money for Lukaku. City would have a bargain at £150m for Kane.

I do blame players who do that, it’s a team sport, the sentiment that teammates are holding one back shows a failure of character.

Agree, let’s sell and replace with someone fully committed.
No one's holding him back, city just have better players and so he's more likely to achieve his goals there.

Chelsea have done us a favour there.

My thoughts exactly. Hard for anyone to argue that Kane should go for £100m now. Very helpful for any conversations between the club and Kane

I hope we do give him a commitment that he could leave for £100m next summer though. I think it would be in our interest to sell him next summer, but also make sure Kane is motivated this coming season

Why are you glad? What a weird thing to be glad about.

Because it's flimflam. It's a facade. It's not real.

Same with his stint as England captain and racism. Did he say anything immediately? No. he waited a few days like Boris Johnson and then came out with a statement following loads of pundits and journalists speaking out.

No one is questionning what he has done for this team, no one. But I don't like this pretence he's a golden boy when it's just been proven he isn't.
