Harry Kane MBE

I'm not so sure about that - if a 100m+ deal is on the line then there's every chance it would be agreed the player is to avoid training

True, but we'd manage that scenario so it is not news?

Depends how the story is being reported. It appears as though the club are briefing and playing a game with Kane's camp via the media. Which would suggest there isn't a deal in place.

If City can only afford 100 mill - then throw in 60 mill worth of players as well. Simple as that - if they want Kane that badly.

Such as?
We don’t want the players they will throw in/or would join us
they have plenty of quality we would like but they won’t what you shift them
City are screwed now. Pay the money and they have set a new precedent
Don’t pay it and they start the season without their choice of striker
That wing weaken their team that much but it shows to do business with them

Don't think it's realistic - when they allegedly offered £80m plus the "opportunity" to sign a selection of their players it was widely reported those players were not happy being part of that potential deal.

I completely get why Kane is doing it but it still stinks. We shouldn’t be paying him as far as I’m concerned. He is paid by the club not just to play matches but also to train.

It's not that simple if those players don't want to come too us.

Plus uefa are relaxing ffp regulations due to covid (let's be fair, they were pretty relaxed already). So there really aren't any excuses for Emirates Marketing Project or their owners not to cough up the cash in full.

Its put up or shut up time for those cnuts!

Completely. I dont see many players who we would want and who would also want to come

Jesus is about the only one I can think of

Foden hasn't performed as well as Dele Alli has and I would rather have proven winners over him. What Foden offers at this point is potential.
It's not just potential, he's already a class player. Proven winner? He's already won a lot and been a key part of the best team in the league.

A strict deadline has to be set now, we simply CAN NOT repeat the Berba/Keane debacle.
I wouldn’t mind repeating the sell talismanic striker with long ties to the club , new team play him out of position as manager didn’t really want him, player didn’t realise how good he had it and returns 6 month later for a lower fee element of the Keane debacle, as long as Kane doesn’t return half the player too!!!
Jokes aside this is the bit that Levy needs to factor in and Kane needs to understand. The price is the price until the deadline, we cannot afford to be scratching spring in the last week of the window to replace the best striker in the league. If city are serious, and let’s be fair it’s not like a budget is really a concept for them, they either prove how much they want the player by our deadline or wait until next season when with 2 years left our position may change.

Foden is not a proven winner at senior level. Think back to Dele some years back. You think Foden is as good as Dele back then? I don't see it.

Yes he has won a lot as part of the squad but key member. No.

Player swaps are never going to improve the team as efficiently as cash. Think at this point we should just let City know a cash price and say pay it or bugger off.

We did, the number is £160M, they have also been pretty clear of their valuation, £100M

Kane needs to realize no amount of not turning up for training and bitching is going to make up a £60M gap
