Next Manager?

Hmm sounds like a stand off between different parties doesn't it? I really hope progress is being made in the background, we have a lot of work to get done this summer

agreed, and given that Poch seems to be our number 1 choice, if we cant prise him away from PSG and move on to our number 2 target, then getting that guy becomes more expensive given how desperate we'll be, and that person's club will also need to get their replacement.

From Gilluem Balague

'On Pochettino. By qualifying to the CL, his contract gets automatically renewed by an extra year. The interest from Spurs and Team Madrid is real. PSG (as Leonardo has said) want him to stay The only way for him to move away would be if he said publicly he wants to go'

Can't really Poch coming out and saying he wants to leave personally. He prefers that cryptic brick about going to life on a farm rtc

its an interesting situation that Real Madrid also have a vacant managerial position. During his later days at our club, Pochettino would make outward comments that appeared to be hinting that he would be welcoming of an offer by Real Madrid were they to come knocking. So, if he comes back to us, as I how that he does, it will show that his heart now truly lays with us.

Spot on, its being used by s ome just to have YET another dig at Levy.
If you feel that gross debt of £1.2b is inconsequential then we definitely won’t see eye to eye. We are carrying the biggest debt in football, I don’t know how people can just brush that off as nothing.

Not just journo’s, there were plenty on here claiming the same.
The timing of the sacking suggests it may have been if left until later? I can think of no other logical reason for Jose to be sacked in the week leading up to the final. I thought we must’ve had a manager lined up but obviously that wasn’t the case.

The timing might appear strange but as soon as it became clear we weren’t going to be in the champions league next season Jose had to go.

The quicker it’s done the earlier we let managers know our job is up for grabs. Managers who might be interested get more time to put of contract negotiations at their current clubs.

Jose had done nothing to show that we were going to be able to put in a performance against city playing the way we were.

We took a gamble and it didn’t pay off but personally I think it was worth taking

The only thing wrong with the timing of the sacking was that it wasn't made sooner

Is it something about the badger being 100 years old? the club are trying to flog shirts in honour of this.

Edit: Anniversary was 23rd April, so back to cryptic brick.
