Game never progressed. He doesn't do the fundamentals well enough to ever sustain a top players form. His game is based on things 'coming off'. You can't build a career around that.
The closest player to him positional wise is Muller. Who gets dropped and keeps forcing his way back cause he does things consistently well, and then adds defining moments on top of them, while again not being the greatest footballer.
Fergie probably saw the raw potential and thought he'd add the layers to his game.

Simply untrue.
Under Poch he was a very hard worker and smart with the positions he took up both in attack and defense.
When Southgate played him deep in 2018 to accommodate an extra forward, I believe it fudged with him and us.

Simply not true. Dele works very hard on the pitch. Is consistently one of our hardest working players.

I really dont agree on that. He gave the ball away 7 times in the first half for example

What I saw was that not a single player in our team wanted the ball other than Dele.....
He was very frustrating giving the ball away so often but I'd rather have players like him wanting to get on the ball and make things happen than others in attack who hide all game for weeks on end

Again I think the issue was movement around him i.e. lack of drop and link. So often he'd receive the ball and have no close, quick options; his game thrives on that.

I’ve always said when he has time and looks he struggles
When he okays instinctively it suits him
Although I’ll add he did two balls swinging in from left to right in the first half
One went to son who should have done better
Second time, same ball... out for a GK and near no one
The guy needs the pre season now to get fit and show us that he wants to be here

Different Dele after peak Eriksen. In the past few games Son ran back to defend more and faster than Dele. The will to play is different now.

No, I don’t think so. The ball into Son was perfect. This one was also into a good area beyond Leicester’s full back. Had Kane continued his run I think he either could’ve had a first time shot or a ball back across goal, either way it was a very good pass to pick the lock of a deep set defence.
