Harry Kane MBE

All 3 were recruited by Spurs. Not like they were here on an apprenticeship and happened to come good!

Ok. Levy always appoints the best managers and head coaches. His ability to pick a football leader are unrivaled in modern sport and we are in great hands with his deep and wise knowledge of football. He just knew Santini would leave and that Jol would bring new levels to us. Same cunning plan when he hired Ramos, KNOWING that redknapp was waiting to bring the glory days back. And he tried to get Van Gaal as a ruse, knowing for sure that Poch would get us up the table and to (losing) finals, even with no transfers for two windows.

I think the united deal for Kane is easy
£100m and Greenwood
That lads is going to be brilliant
City it’s £100m and Bernardo
Chelsea it’s £200m and Werner for a laugh

I think a Utd deal for Kane is easy. Don't do it.
I think a Chelski one is even easier; 500 mill or go fudge yourselves.
Emirates Marketing Project is the only permissible team in this country IMO, otherwise Spain, join Poch in Paris OR (as I think will happen) play next season here...

We should’ve kept him. Brilliant DoF. Should’ve offered him a better deal than Chelsea did.

It was the beginning of Levy's swapping and changing plus the full acrimonious Chelski relationship. Abramovich saw what we were doing and simply wanted us not to do it, so he bought it and did it instead. I think it was the moment when Levy's skin got a lot thicker, because I don't personally believe he ever thought Arnesen would take such a move. Neither did I TBF.

I seem to be one of the few here who really dislikes city. I’m not fooled for one second by oh lovely perfect pep doing things the right way blah blah. They spend unbelievable money that is not theirs, got given a stadium, hired the best manager... nothing short of a disgrace if you ask me. They spend 40m on ake to basically do a trial, decide after two weeks he’s not good enough and go and dump another 65m on someone else who we were also looking at. They blocked us getting de ligt and bent us over for walker.

Lets see how you all feel when kane scores four against us on his return to WHL and that bellend kyle walker is jumping on his back screaming, with city fans yet again singing have you ever seen tottenham win the league - the bloody cheek of it considering how they ended their drought.

The one small consolation if chelsea beat them in that final will be seeing pep and kyle walkers stupid faces.

I absolutely convinced myself that we'd have Kane for one more season so I now feel like I've been dropped from the top of a high building. I know we're not going to have him forever, I understand why he might want to move on, and it's a killer that he hasn't been able to win something with us. I SO want him to win, he deserves it, but to be honest I will begrudge it if it's with another PL club.
But if there is truth that he or his agent/brother are getting word out about wanting to leave, why now? Why with two games left to get European football next season, for what is still the club he loves, why disrupt things for his best mate-manager rather than hold off for a week? It's not like the season ends and everyone forgets who Harry Kane is.
I'm still clinging to the ever-thinning straw that this is just mischief-making by someone, or that Levy won't let him leave this year for an amount less than what anyone will pay, or that our newly announced manager will inspire Kane again to one more season.
But I fear I am just clutching now.

The reason he is leaving is because he doesn't believe that the club will be fighting or winning titles anytime soon.

He is a fan of the club and probably sees exactly what each and everyone of us knows.... the chairman and owner simply do not have the ambition to match his own or the fans ambitions.

It's no surprise here and he should be commended for sticking it out for this long.

Sell him abroad like bale and hopefully he wins everything out there. The man deserves it, and so does levy and Co.

The 'why now' could just be that there are few clubs which can afford his fee and once they have blown their transfer kitty, they're unlikely to find another £150m or need another CF. THere's also only 3 weeks between end of season and the EUros

THere was a a rumour a week or two ago that Kane had asked Levy to listen to offers; this latest news is somewhat consistent with that

I am not surprised. I am almost close to asking for a transfer for myself as well.

Harry - it has been an honour and a pleasure watching you in Spurs colours. I wish you could have broken the records at this club but brother - I understand your desire to win trophies. The mentality to do such is currently not present here. As long as you don't join United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool - you have my support. I can manage City even though my preference is out of England.

Of the other top 6 clubs, City is the most people can stomach. HELL NO to United, Liverpool and Chelsea. HELL NO!!

I feel the same as this. As I clutch at straws like the lack of quotes and the difficult market I do wonder if the odd timing is to be able to say goodbye to fans and get some kind of verbal send off against Villa.

Neither surprised nor disappointed.
Seen it coming, been on the cards for two years. Son will be next.
I'll be in a minority of one here but I'm not in the least bothered. But please get it done quick.
We've become overly reliant on him imho and to the detriment of our game over the last few seasons. That's not his fault, that's the managements fault, but we have to often allowed the narrative to be about Harry Kane.
You don't want to be here anymore, fine, thanks for your efforts, good bye, good luck.
Don’t care where he goes, but if its not city or psg he isn't winning any of the big titles so its for the money. Which begs the question, £200k a week going begging on bale that could be divided between Kane and son to keep them.

I dislike them too for the same reason. I loathe Chelscum but would find it little funny if they, after spending 800 billion and still not win the cup Pep was bought in for

I don't want him to go, but for his career, he needs to win things, so best of luck to you. please think about going overseas, or if staying in England, only 1 club he and me is permissalbe, Emirates Marketing Project

I doubt anyone is fooled by City and everyone knows the only reason they are where they are is due to backing by an oil rich state with terrible track record in human rights.
The reason City is more bearable is pretty obvious. City are going to be winning the title most years anyway, but if he goes to one of the others they are going to be competing as well for titles. That's even without the obvious hate for some of the other clubs.

Hopefully when we have the next Kane, the stadium debt will be have been paid down sufficiently such taht we're able to invest in the team consistently and keep them. We havent been far short - a couple players and we'd have had a good chance of keeping this Kane for longer.

Moving on under a new manager and with a new group of young players would be interesting and attractive. Key is execution - getting the right manager and spending the money well
