Jose Mourinho - SACKED

Unfortunately I don't think Levy will get rid of Mourinho this summer, and we'll end up with a caretaker for half a season, which means that next season will be totally wasted.

Try again in November, if things don’t start well next season.

I doubt if Jose will be in the job come 1st June...all these leaked stories about not having to pay as much as is feared smells of preparation for the inevitable but trying to win the PR war to make Levy look less incompetent regarding Jose's terms of contract and dismissal etc

No chance. He is done. £30m to get rid is looking like a FANTASTIC deal at the moment.

Really? The writing is on the wall for Mourinho, even if he somehow miraculously manages to win the league cup final, he's done. We can't open the stadium to fans again and have Mourinho at the helm.

Unfortunately results speak. I am willing to be patient till next season but that will be with the surety of a plan in place to help Spurs.

That said, if Jose goes - I wonder who is going to succeed with these bunch of players ...

Add three new players to this squad and I think Nagelsmann would have a field day. Remember, Skipp and Sessegnon to return too.

Just add two CBs, and whatever other squad players we can afford.

Aurier/Tanganga are fine for RB for another season - most top 4 teams dont have a team of world-beaters, and I wouldnt say Shaw and Aaron WB are much better full-backs than Aurier/Tanganga.

Two CBs and a new manager - all we need for next season

Those new players wouldnt all happen to be CBs and a RW - would they?

:D

Insanely, I still believe there is a good player in Sanchez. I think Rodon has great potential too. The thing we need is a left-sided CB, because sans Jan we've been filling in, and it makes such a huge difference on angles and what-not to have a left-footed left CB. I would personally like an upgrade on RB, but with the right tactics think we could do just fine as-is. One dominant, strong left-sided CB paired with any one of Sanchez/Tanganga/Rodon could absolutely work. I think Rodon looks like has genuine growth potential.

I think we would need to make a decision on Winks, and if we sell, replace him. Personally, IF Dele showed the appetite I'd absolutely give him another chance. I'd probably say goodbye to one of Lamela or Lucas because they'd command a fee and we don't need both, even though I like Davies experience I am now leaning towards selling (I wasn't until recently) and as much as I love Dier, it is probably time even though I don't blame him for where we are. Probably one of the biggest issues we have looming is keeper. Sadly, I think ww will say goodbye to Bale again (with a diff manager I still believe this could've worked) and Lloris is good for one more year at most IMO, so we really, really need to find a great young keeper. Not a bridge like Pope (not good enough IMO) but a genuine talent with two good feet.

I think too much has been made of this squad being clapped out.

The Poch era ended with under-performing and coaxed moments of magic, but that was a squad which had played constant football for four seasons straight. People forget we had NINE players in the WF SF in 2018. it takes a toll. And it did. Add to that small matters like Son basically playing a match for his footballing future, and it is remarkably clear to see how it happened, especially when messages weren't received from that management team by the board, albeit I will always wonder what the future would've been had we been able to pull the Dybala deal off.

I kinda agree
We do need to fix the CF back up whether that’s keeping Vinny or bringing in another

Yep...though we may need another striker, if at least to prepare for life without Kane in a year's time (if not a few months time..)

A new more attacking managing manager who actually coaches will be the most important though
