Next Manager?

Absolutely, but my one concern with him is that he's only done it in the Eredivisie to date, and his teams have a habit of choking in the big moments, like us. But then, that's better than choking all the time I suppose, with this sad sack.
Choking in the CL a semi after beating some amazing sides to get there I’ll take
I mean we win a cup wit( Jose. It’s a success on paper as we didn’t choke but none of us want that really, do we

My only worry would be did he fall in to a great crop of youngsters that year? How has he fared since they lost the big guns?

They certainly played us off the park for long spells over the 2 legs

Top currently
Was top last season when it got canned
And won it the year they played us
Beyond that I can’t say

The new guy will have some time. I dont see us having European football next season so have an extra year to rebuild and wont need as big a squad next season

We have:
- 7-9 first team quality players
- a few who are good enough squad players
- Add Skipp, Sessegnon coming back in the summer, perhaps a role for Foyth
- ...and sign 3-4 in the summer

We just need to get rid of the manager

There is no evidence that Skipp, Sessegnon or Foyth are good enough. Likewise Lamela, Moura, Davies, Sissoko, Winks, Sanchez, Dier...doesn’t matter who is in charge, we have a host of average, and mentally suspect, players.

My preference is Rodgers though

I’m not sure Rodgers would leave Leicester to come to us.

One starting point on this is 'what are the criteria a new guy has to meet?' In no particular order:

1) plays an attractive brand of football
2) proven enough in a major league (even if over-achieving with a small team)
3) has won something
4) has some star appeal so that he can attract big name players and manage them
5) is young enough to believe he could be here for 5-10 years, or has enough of a track record of staying somewhere for a while

Note: it would be great if someone hits all 5, but I think they must hit 4 out of 5

Skipp and Sessegnon would at least open up two most overseas spots for us by replacing two hangers on in our squad

I’m not sure Rodgers would leave Leicester to come to us.

If we cant attract someone from a club like that, then we truly are screwed

I wouldn't leave Leicester currently to join Spurs. Better positioned in the league, far more successful recently and have a proactive transfer policy as opposed to ourselves. It's very much a sideways move right now.

It depends on ROdgers view on short vs long-term. All his signings could have been made at Spurs, and he'll have more cash to spend at Spurs. And man for man our squad is better than Leicester's. Its just needs a system and some organising

I think your overestimating who signs players at spurs.
