Joe Hart

Better keeper than Gazza and he’s English. Still think there is a keeper in there who has seriously lost confidence. Jose is a renowned man manager so wouldn’t surprise me to see him get Hart somewhat back on track.

Free transfer, he’s English and I doubt the wages are massive given Harts spells at Torino, West Ham and Burnley were hardly successful.

Reminds me a little bit of Michael Owen signing for United. Well past his best but worth a punt and low risk given we have Hugo.

Terrible keeper, mentally weak, chocolate wrists, appalling footwork

this would be, unquestionably, the worst signing we have ever made

I think Hart is smart business, gives us an experienced backup keeper and allows money to be spent elsewhere and homegrown.

Good signing for me, the guy is still young for a keeper and he is also a winner ( and has the medals to prove that).

Back to the good old days of getting players way beyond their prime. Even if Hart's just sitting on the bench, this is where we are again.

You didn't watch Vorm the last year? Hart can be a perfectly good backup keeper. Probably better than Vorm.

It's a signing that is what it is but let's not paint it up like it's decent.

He is atriotious and that's proven by fact he couldn't hold down an England place when it was there to keep for keeps and his record after City was pretty sh1tty

surely we have a kid in the system who is better already, on a fraction of the wages who may make it in the PL and keep Gazza honest

If we do, are they better going out on loan and playing football?

can they not be both, play in the youth leagues or on loan somewhere else, but be able to be recalled if needed?

or just register Santos and chuck him another couple of K a week

Who exactly were people expecting to sign as 2nd/3rd choice keeper? Hugo is clear number 1 and will play 95% of games. No idea why people are getting their knickers in a twist over Hart?

He is crap, that's not getting knickers In a twist just a statement of fact.

My preference would be to promote youth over signing him but alas that's not the case here.
