Redknapp

I don't think Wriggly's saying Redknapp is a racist, but that Redknapp's conduct whilst doing his job is not the most likable: contradicting himself, openly talking about transfer targets, looking after himself at all costs etc etc. Much in the same way that Suarez's conduct on the field is suspect (diving, cheating etc; the racism thing can be left out of this totally)

I understood the point Wriggly was trying to make in asking Sheik the question (which still seems to be unanswered)

It was an inane and stupid attempt at a comparison, and one that would only be lauded by the feeble minded

Some things you just look at and think, "why bother?"

Mate...this was NOT a response to you at all...it was a response to those who claim Redknapp is our most "successful" manager since Sir Bill...

no-one has ever done that

he has the best points per game figures of any Spurs manager in the last 100 years

no one (unless they are blind and mad) has ever said that he has won more cups or titles

why is that distinction so hard to grasp?

I didn't say it wasn't. But Moyes getting Everton to 4th is bigger IMO.

each to his own, moyes made 4th and got humiliated in the CL...harry made 4th and brought a bit of glory back to the lane...thinking back on it now...we fudging took that competition by storm considering the group we were in and that it was our first time

This. there are some low lifes on this board.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

just to add , i saw something posted about the players already being here

not sure but did harry bring in crouch, defoe, palacious, parker, friedel, ade on loan?

did we get the kyles before or after he joined?

one thing i do know though is that lennon and bale both picked up form when harry joined. again, gotta be worth something

Bye bye
see you when they let you back on

wow, you must be nails

Just like the time you threatened me in Random?

I didn't report it though.

I like the way the only way to win a debate here is to goad people in the hope they'll resort to personal abuse.

Shall I start talking about your kid and family?

Moyes would be a disaster, a reurn to George Graham days **spits on floor**

Certain things I'd hand my season ticket in for... Moyes appointment would be one.

Harry gets players playing well, he is a great man manager and seems to be a good motivator. He has made some good signings and some head scratchers. Some people want him to stay as they are only interested in results. Some, including myself, want him out as he is a tosser, is a clueless tactician and has no respect for the job he is in or anyone employing him.

Villareal would have fudged us as well. The team at the time.

We nearly got humiliated by YOUNG BOYS FFS!!

The Inter game?? Lol

The game at the lane was brilliant.

Against AC we did a hit a run, and then MAdrid fudged us.

I loved every minute of the journey but take the rose tinted off please.

There is a lot to admire about Moyes, but I dont see him doing well with us at all.

At best we would be pushing to maintain this position (while probably not getting it) with a dire brand of football.

I generally like the way Moyes conducts himself. I like his committment to Everton. I like that his players clearly all admire him and play FOR him.

I cant stand his brand of football (which, despite peoples belief, I see no evidence will change) and I think he is flaky in the transfer market.

I would rather someone like AVB, while (probably reasonably) considered more of a gamble could also bring much greater rewards.

I like his prefered style of play and think it would suit us. I like his moves in the transfer market so far.

I find it funny really. We want to swap out a Manager who has us punching above our weight, with a Manager who took (arguably) the best team in the country and had them struggling to finish top five. And what is really ironic is that AVB would go one of two ways with us most likely. Either he'd be an absolute flop like with Chelsea. Or he'd be a success (which would be finishing top four at least half the time he was in charge)...and fudge off after two years to a bigger club as soon as they come calling.

Spouting the same old brick as well.

Indeed, I've been away for one week and it's the SAME posters infecting every single thread regarding Redknapp with the same old brick. Putting forward their arguments, being destroyed, back tracking, putting forward hypocritical arguments, being destroyed, back tracking, resorting to insults to fellow posters or the Manager himself etc. It's pathetically sad.

I like the way the only way to win a debate here is to goad people in the hope they'll resort to personal abuse.

Selected few have been doing it in this thread for 30-40 pages now - personal abuse, baiting, niggling, goading, etc. - all those things the new infraction rules were apparently brought in to eradicate - inexcplicable how certain things are overlooked on a daily basis.

Another ruined thread suffocating the little bit of interesting discussion with personal agendas and grudges
