What was the queuing like?

Big! When I saw the size of the queue decided to walk. Get to the top of the hill towards 7 sisters and from there buses were quick and completely empty. A bike is probably optimal. If you could find a place to stash it.

I left after the whistle, and it was a lot easier to leave the southstand than get a beer.
But walking past white Hart Lane, and seeing the queue for the station back to the high road, you can see why people want to get away, especially on a school night.
its up to the club to get the authorities to lay on extra transport..can't see it ever happening though
so major nightmare for fans getting away.
Will it be any worse than Wembley was?

After playing at pool and giving it our all, and our poor string of results, it was an effective, get our feet under the table performance. Once the side settle they will be more fluid. The movement wasn't always as good as it can be, and passing could have been quicker, but we didn't need to take it to another level. Palace had very few openings. Job done!

Palace came to defend and hope to mug us on the counter, that never makes for pretty games.

That said, we had a ton of possession, a lot of shots/corners if not clear cut opportunities.

Job done, easy last 15 mins, Son/Eriksen on scoresheet good, stadium off to right start.

That pitch didn’t affect us anywhere near as much as it did palace

Was like an ice rink for them

Have to say though it will rock when we play a big game but do think we will struggle for atmosphere against brick sides like we always did

I stayed back, had a drink to let the queues die down. Or so I thought. Got to NUM around 1015. Huge queue outside going northbound.
Going southbound now takes you on a slalom course so you keep moving but still took about 10-15 mins to get onto the platform.
For me the only train home was 10:15, and I wasn't taking my boy home using WHL. Booked the zeelo coach, and I'm glad we did.

A crowd of 59,215 according to BBC. Were some tickets held back?

This magnificent sweeping stadium is a spectacular arena that proved well worth that 689-day wait. It ranks alongside any in the world.

There were quite a few under-hit passes. Hopefully the ground staff will give it more zip and/ir our lads will work out the pace.

We’re we allowed full capacity today
I’m also not sure that things like the sky bar are fully open yet

Front two rows of Paxton were empty. Also noticed two areas in the corners of the upper tier that was empty, possibly disabled seats.

No I could just see the arse of it. :) Felt a bit giddy in the top stand, can't imagine what the view is like from the sky bar. Must be like flying. Suspended in the air. I wonder if people will watch matches from it?

The security guy I spoke too at the test event said it’s like watching a game on the tinkle before you get drunk
