Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

I understand that some like to stand but I suffer with arthritis in both knees and standing for a full match is impossible for me, I'm in a bad enough state by the time I get home from the walk to the ground and I've not seen a corner at the Paxton for over 8 years.

WOW,WOW, WOW

I have not been to the Lane or Tottenham since the last game there, i did so because i wanted to see it finished and not the various stages it has gone through. coming up the high road and seeing it for the first time all i can say is WOW,WOW,WOW. It took my breath away and although i have been told i am not a sensitive guy i must admit my eyes started to get damp.

That was awsome enough but once i was in the ground i was having to use my hanky ( Hazard had nothing on me). First stepped into the Lane as a kid back in 61 and i was gobsmacked and will always remember that day till i die, yesterday was the same its BLOODY BRILLIANT. There was nothing that was wrong ( imo) the sound is amazing and i can not wait to see/hear it when its sold out.

Thank you Daniel for giving us Spurs fans such a fantastic home. I am still buzzing now.

Alright alright calm down Grandad.

Lovely to read about your experience mate :)

The circle of life - I am told (it was before my time) that on pay on the door this would keep the boisterous ends going, as you are no longer able (or willing) to stand you move to more comfortable surroundings. Not really an option these days though.

As women’s football skyrockets, Spurs miss a trick at stadium test event

TLDR - there was one paragraph (from a wall of text) saying should have fudged the kids off and put the women on instead. Headline writers clickbait
I reckon it would have been good to do a double header if possible - get the ladies on as well as the U18s!

Women’s football is going to be massive.

I heard a report recently that apparently around 50% of the entire population are eligible to play it too, which is a huge untapped market for Levy to get another juicy income source from.

I have always found women who were into sport were more rounded persons and more interesting and also more attractive, even if they dont look great in the face, they will have better skin.

in this age any "womens sport" is sexist and should be banned and all sporting authorities forced to open their sports to all. When my son played 30 years ago the best player at their club was a girl but she wasn't allowed to play.

I coached a youth team at a pretty high level and we had a girl player. She was excellent and more than held her own, but had to move to an all girls team when she got to a certain age. Actually, I think we got a special dispensation for her final season to keep her one extra year. I wouldn't be surprised to see her appearing as an international at some stage.

I’ve heard loads of stories like that and looking back, it’s disgusting.
Girls who were great players as kids, having to stop playing once they had to be separated from the boys, but had no girls teams to go to if they weren’t in a city.
It’s even more farcical as the old football man logic that the girls can’t handle the physicality is actually nonsense.
Firstly, at school age they certainly can if they are good enough. Secondly, the game has become far more technical now with the invention of small competent midfielders rather than big hairy cloggers.
