Mauricio Pochettino - Sacked

Thought he got it wrong today.

3 at the back to mark 1 striker - there was times we had 5 marking 1.

I wish we would take the hand break off sometimes.

I agree regarding today but....tbf this is the first time we’ve drawn this season in the league, so we’ve clearly been going for the win in a lot of games....

True, but it’s not like we have played free flowing football in those games, teams really do struggle when we do.

Let teams worry about us

Rubbish subs today, had to move Rose into midfield by creating a problem (removing Wanyama and replacing him with nobody directly in his position). Brings on Llorente for the potential of him flicking it on to...nobody. Moura stays on the bench. Would have been better off sacrificing Sanchez in the 2nd half and going to a back 4, with Moura coming on. If Wanyama needed to come off, should have been for Skipp. Or Davies, if the plan was to move Rose there.

Rose in midfield was a disaster. How many times did he lose possession? And Poch kept him out there. I am not a fan of the 5-3-2 in general, but the changes Poch made today made us lose our shape completely.

I think Pochettino has chopped and changed too much this season. I realize that it has been partly down to injuries, but not always. We rarely play the same formation in two games in a row, the backline is constantly changed. I think this season we are playing our worst football since Pochettino's first season in charge, certainly in the PL. The Champions League performances have been better, but how many good performances have we put in in the league this season? You could probably count them on one hand. During Pochettino's spell we have played the best football when we've had a settled team, perhaps only rotating the full backs when we've played twice a week. I don't know if the fact that the results, until the last week, have been good, despite poor performances, has made him think his plan is working, or if he is searching for the right formula, but we have regressed this season.

I think Poch is doing the best he can given the injuries and general malaise with some key players. Rose in midfield was on the verge of being inspired at the time (he was one of the few in the cm area who was taking players on and committing players to leave other with space, though eventually Arsenal cottoned onto this and almost used this to exploit us) but in the end lacking solid CM options is effecting both our defence AND our attacking play imo.

Nice to see Poch sticking it to the media trying to push their agenda.. Pundits also bricking on about Kane's offside pen.

What about Xhaka's early challenge where he should have been off, what about Aubameyang's soft pen, basically a dive. All mostly ignored.
I also like how he doesn’t say the name of the opposfrom today. Just says “them”.

And another thing - the position we are in, the league and CL - is a major, MAJOR, achievement. The injuries, lack of investment, net spend over his tenure and lack of stadium are immense obstacles. So when Danny Rose misplaces a few passes I’m midfield and Llorente comes on instead of Moura and we still get a point after our two defeats, let’s praise Poch. He’s magic.

Poch's done immense. The only grievance I have with him that I can name is when something isn't working and it's halftime too often he shows faith in the same team and tactic that's got us nowhere.

You have to make subs after a crap first half. I feel like the opposition know at halftime that they can fully pinpoint where to get us and rest assured that we will not change until at least the 60th minute.

Good to see him call out some of the frankly ridiculous refereeing decisions. That Xhaka tackle was at the very least a yellow. Studs up, straight leg, nowhere near the ball, straight into the back of Kane's knee. And not even a foul. Like Rose against Burnley, kung fu tackle to the knee, flew off the field, no foul. That too, a yellow at least. Same with Pogba on Dele and that last minute foul that injured Kane. Countless tackles on Son lately, where It's clear as day this is a free kick. No foul.

I get it that refereeing at this level is hard, and that refs will get 50/50 decisions wrong. But when you look at situations like those - it's not just one, it’s plenty - where the refs get them utterly, completely wrong, and compare them to all the ridiculously soft free kicks given against us (some even for us), this is becoming a big problem.

I personally feel the standard of refereeing has dropped considerably this season, compared to earlier seasons. The refs get so many big decisions wrong, and they are extremely inconsistent - in the same game, and from game to game. Maybe it’s nothing new, and it just happened that Spurs are more on the receiving end of poor decisions this season, but it's still a problem when it’s impossible for players to expect a somewhat balanced performance from the refs. I still don't get why refs are allowed themselves to set the bar for how physical they will allow teams to play, literally from game to game. Why should a tackle be a foul in one game and not the other? What's the point in having standardised rules then?

Hence that's why I'm in favour of video refereeing - done properly - to make sure that the Xhakas of football are booked and to overrule blatant refereeing mistakes. I think time is long overdue for a change of the current system where one man in black is in charge of the game; to make it much less about him, and much more about getting as many decisions as possible right.

Good man, Poch. You can hear his voice trembling, that's a man trying not to blow his phucking top right there.

Phuck all these pundits and fans of assorted sh1t clubs (the clubs that aren't Spurs). Poch is right and we back him all the way.

The refs have been a joke lately and it seems to be open season for kicking the sh1t out of Harry. Poch is right to call it out.

And another thing -- I have my criticisms of Dier, but I want him playing the next time we are against both Arsenal and that roostery pr1ck Pogba. We need a couple of minders on the pitch, that's why I hope Big Vic can stay fit and play a part in the run-in. Between those two and Rose, we should have enough to fight back with our own dirty play. We've been too passive lately. Hopefully the players will follow Poch's lead and fight back.

The more you watch it the worse it looks.. Taylor had a clear view too. Outrageous, not even a fudging yellow!

Rose didn’t play particularly well yesterday, but he was clearly up for it and I loved his spell in CM, really got stuck in and we needed that. (I still miss Dembele!).

Really? I thought he was lethargic at LB, kept passing the ball straight into Gooners. Then when he moved to central midfield he gave the ball away five or six times after really heavy touches... So dangerous.

He made one good run forward initially, but after that it was pretty calamitous. I thought alongside Eriksen and Trippier he was one of the worst players out there.
