Figueroa for me is a better replacement. A very decent defender and also decent on the ball. Behind Bale he would fit in very well, and is the closest 'like for like' for Ekotto I can think of in the premiership.

Added bonus of being VERY good in the air and also able to cover CB as well.

Sounds like we should get him even if benny stays (which he will be)

Mancini told BBC Sport: "Barcelona and Real Madrid every year buy two or three players and spend a lot of money.

"I think for Emirates Marketing Project it will be the same.

"We need to improve. We need to have the strength to play Champions League and Premier League."

He added: "For this we need to have a good team, a strong team with a good mentality, but I'm sure we will do it."

Could be a clever ploy to lower people's expectations before appointing Bruce or Curbishley. It's either going to be one of them, someone from the Championship or go abroad. Martinez, Rodgers and Lambert may be what the fans want, but are all HIGHLY unlikely IMO.

Villa should go back to Birmingham but this time they will be getting a good manager...Hughton would be perfect for them

POTL speaks about Remy. ITK at its finest.

"Harry loves him, wants to make it happen. Harry has personally watched him twice this season and we have sent IB on numerous occassions. I'm gay. We are after 2 strikers this summer, Ade's wages are a real issue, not the fee. Decisions to be made after our fate is known on Saturday."

A bit of a let down as there is no cryptic rubbish.

Why is the ITK thread locked? And is Remy actually any good? What type of player is he? Who watches french football?

No way they can get turnover near ?ú300 million, let alone ?ú400+ million we need

Friend is a Marseille fan, says Remy is quick striker who can play wide right/second striker role as well. My friend rates him quite highly.

From the discussions I've had with him, he'd be a good fit, potential cover for Lennon/VDV and outright striker.

For ?ú20 million though?

Best description of Remy I think is Henry before he moved to England. Similar physique, abilities and people also thought at times that he was a winger

I think we should, have said as much a few times already.
