Unofficial Official OMT - Spurs v Newport

Son, Alli, Eriksen look first team ready, Lamela looked decent, Wanyama did OK... the rest have not done themselves any favours IMO

We could have had a hatful. Need to tighten up our finishing. Credit to Newport for running and showing up. Didn't disgrace themselves.

Replay worked out okay - a competitive game for returning players for us - and a cash cow and some limelight at Wembley for Newport.

Great to have Lamela back. After such a long time out, he's looking close to his old self.

Uninspiring 2nd half. But we progress. Rochdale away on that dump of a pitch will not be easy either and will have to perform a touch better to avoid an upset

He kept his eyes on the ball, made good contact, kept it down and got it across the goal, it was technically correct.

The competency of an action is not defined by the outcome.
..and missed the target. It wasn't easy but the outcome was not the intention so he could have done better, technically.

FT 2-0 A straightforward win. Sluggish first 15 minutes. As soon as we got the fortunate opener there was only one winner. A training exercise in the second half. Several clear goal scoring opportunities spurned- 2 by Llorente and one by Alli. Lamela deservedly MoM. Some players not up to first team quality -especially Foyth and Sissoko.

He had a small window to put the ball in, 30 cm either side of the post max. I think it was far from a sitter.
