The General Transfer Rumours and Speculation Thread

I think that we need a backup for Eriksen. We currently have no one else that can efficiently play the role of the primary attacking playmaker. Alli is more of a one-touch quick flicker and I don't think that Lamela is good in that role.

I think with out WFs the idea is to have something different from the bench. Eriksen and Lamela have creativity, while Son and Njie from the bench offer more directness and pace

well unless Dier and Dembele form really drops I cant see Wanyama replacing them and cant see Jansen starting over Kane unless his form drops, not trying to be negative, just think with the champs league and not being able to rest players as much on the wed and then needing them again on the sat will be lots of game time for the strongest 11 which I dont feel has changed from the first 11 that finished last season
That's not necessarily a bad thing. It's good to have a settled team carry over from one year to the next. This year we'll have a significantly less drop in quality from the first team, which is what we were missing last year. And players that can challenge for a first team spot. That's ideal, in my mind.

Interesting read, although according to one particular poster on here this must be 'completely made up to get views'

Lyall will be eating from the food bank again tomorrow if 500 people don't click that link. That's the model for modern lowbrow journalism.

"Spurs have done all their business, but may sign someone if Lloris leaves, or if Vorm leaves, or if Walker leaves... They are particularly interested in (search FM for some random nature)." £50 for 10 minutes work, if only 500 people will click.

From my experience, that journo is the most connected, reliable Spurs source around. It's interesting that he brought up Boufal from Lille. From what I've read about him, he could be an inspired signing.

Done his MCL. Out for 4 months.

Neither of our left back's will not be leaving Spurs, even if another left back comes in. Also another player will be signed and will either fly out with the squad to Oz, or join them there.

Apparently.

We're looking at players to improve the team. If we find someone who fits the bill and is in our price range, we'll pursue him.

You heard it here first.

Was it Darren Lewis of the Mirror that first broke the news of our interest in Vincent Janssen after than Ireland-Holland friendly (when initially it was speculated that we were watching Shane Long lol)?
