He's just the player we needed, perhaps our most important signing. He allows other's to play while still contributing.

He does give the occasional bad pass but there were signs last night of him settling into his place in the team, like others have said i think he will get better the more he plays.
 
Had no idea his passing would be as good as it has been.

Still gets dribbled past much more than I’d like, but overall really liking him so far.

He does have that weakness, but so many other strengths.

Can form a good partnership with every other central midfielder at the club it seems like. Where between the others there hadn't been a midfield partnership to be found between any of them. That's how well rounded he is apart from that one weakness.
 
Lovely first time pass for Auriers goal.

He looked to be anchoring the midfield for the first time today. And did it very well. Psychologically he looks hard to grind down. Very much chest out and amongst it. Does act like a pussy sometimes when tackled or fcks up but many players do.

Modric was no defensive giant on the midfield either, still he wasn't half bad. More concerned when they offer little neither way.
 
I was harsh on him based on Southampton form, he was headless early games for us but seems we are tapping into his ability as in sit deep and cover and pass....for that he is good....

If this continues I will be happy to say I'm wrong

But let's not call him Modric, Modric was one of the top 3 or 4 players in world
 
He gives us something we have lacked in our CM players, his reading of the game is first class and he is now starting to look a very good player in our CM. We have lacked that for a while now.
