Transfer thread

I would personally get rid of

Davies
Richie
Reggie
And whoever else comes back on loan that would not feature.

Loans for
Moore
Lankshear
Vuskovic
Devine
Donley

Would also consider if big money was to come in

Romero
Kulu
Son
Johnson
Maddison

Obviously it would have to be stupid money for most of the above.

Remember this is just my opinion, you don’t have to get upset because i may not like your favourite player as much as you do.

The nuts one is Deki, he's too good a player in that central role to move on.

Vuskovich is a way bigger talent that a lot of people understand, he need to go the Gray/Bervall route, strait into team.

Johnson would be hard to replace his goal and contributions, honestly Ange or next manager need to think about him in a away that is not classic wide winger to beat his man (not his game), not unreplaceable but like Maddison, you would need to make sure the replacement is actually an upgrade.

Who should we be targeting now we are European Champions:

I think we should try for Eze (I said it last summer that we need a player just like him - a proper Tottenham type of player)
Plus one of Bryan Mbeumo, Mikkel Damsgaard or Matheus Cunha

Plus a modric style player like Gomez (free) would really help take us to the next level.

That's my opinion. I think the defence is okay with what we got and youth players coming in, now they all have that winners mentality (and a year older)

Mbeumo of that lot for me all day, pace, right side, strong as fudge, goal and assist threat.

Honestly, as little as a FB (right or left, whatever we could get the best one, Spence to be other side), a DM, Mbeumo plus replacements for anyone you move on (Biss, Richi, whoever) would improve side significantly.

Grealish? Not sure where he’d fit into my CM, GK, CF comment above, but he was the best midfielder in the league before going to City.

Could be worth a gamble surely? He has a lot to prove still…

I really hope we sign Enzo Millot from Stuttgart this summer. Has a stupidly low release clause of only £15m and is a really creative number 10 type player who can also play as box to box number 8 type. Would be such a sensible signing for us, adding creativity without sacrificing much of our transfer budget.

My full out list would be:

Forster (release)
Whiteman (release)
Austin
Davies (release)
Craig
Philips
Hojbjerg (technically he's only on loan)
Robson (release)
Reguilon (release)
Gil
Solomon
Werner (release)
Veliz
Scarlett

I'd want to see all of Dorrington, Vuskovic, Devine, Donley, Moore, Yang and Lankshear given a full chance in pre-season before deciding to loan or use them.
I'm not sure on Werner.

What's the deal with Eze and his release clause, think it may have expired last year or there is a certain window where it has to be triggered? was around £60m with 9-10m in guaranteed add ons IIRC, and the £60m had to be paid in full up front.

If there's still anything like that in place there's zero chance we even go in for him again.

I would still like us to experiment with Romero as the DM, before a back four of Porro, VDV, Danso and Udogie (or Vuskovic, Spence). Mascherano-style, he is so good on the ball. Main question would be: does Romero himself feel like doing that. Might hurt his credentials as a central defender for Argentina for example. And, of course, will we manage to keep him over the summer.

The above would perhaps enable us, Ange-style, to field two more attacking-minded midfielders - preferably Bergvall and one more.
