*** Tottenham Hotspur vs. Everton *** OMT

It was great to finish the season with 2 wins and 2 clean sheets. It will boost our confidence when we start the next season. It was also our first win at Everton since 2007. It was great to win at Everton after so long. We used to have great record against Everton but lost it when Moyes was at Everton. So, it is nice to get back our good record. Afterall, this is the first time we beat Everton home and away since 2006.

Credit to Kane for scoring the winner. He badly needed that goal after only scoring 1 goal in 7 matches previously. Amazingly for him, it was his 21st league goal and 31st goal in all competitions this season. Too bad he couldn't overtake Aguero as the league't top scorer. Hopefully scoring 21 league goals will boost his confidence for the next season. Despite the win, was a bit disappointed Chadli and Eriksen couldn't score goals as well. Eriksen did have a good game but too bad he couldn't score. Similiarly, thought Lamela too played well but maybe should have done better with his goal scoring chance.

Thought our midfield did well, even if Everton were poor. It was nice to see Dembele and Stambouli having some part to play but wish both started together. A bit disappointed Paulinho didn't play any part. Would have liked to see him against Everton as he might leave next season. We sill need more steel and stability in midfield. Not convinced Mason-Bentaleb is the answere to our midfield problems. Hope we will buy atleast 1 top quality midfielders next season.

Similiarly, it was nice to keep a clean sheet for the 2nd match in a row. Too bad we didn't keep more clean sheets like these earlier in the season. It would have helped us greatly in winning more matches earlier. As it is, we finished just 6 points 4th placed ManU. Just imagine, if we had won against teams like Burnley, West Ham and Palace. Hope we will keep Lloris next season as we badly need him to strengthen the defence.

So, we finished in a respectable 5th afterall. But we were helped largely by Liverpool's loss to Stoke. Not sure we deserved to finish in 5th as we were not consistent at all this season. Our form went down badly after the League Cup final. Hope we will be more consistent next season. To do that I think we need to strengthen our defence and midfield. Hope Pochettino will concentrate on this areas next season. Really disappointed we didn't achieve anything this season. Hope we will be ready to finish in top 4 and win a trophy or two next season.

I missed this game but managed to watch the extended highlights on the OS and it seems to me Everton were all over us in the way of chances?

They had some presentable chances, especially Mirallas, but all the highlights I have seen misrepresented the domination we had over them.
