I think the generations show how they feel. When I first started going only the East stand of the old White hart Lane was part of the stadium. I was sad when the Shelf went for sure. That killed the atmosphere for a very long time. Then the new South and North came in and they made the stadium feel more of a whole. But that whole east Stand was a waste of space and money. If they had made a three tier there at that time we could have gone more down the Anfield route with the stadium.

But now. I am looking forward to this new one. Its immense and will be an amazing sight. With top notch facilities. So I dont weep for the old I look forward to the new.

I love the fact that inside it is a boring boring bowl. The layers, the corners, the cuts in the stands, the asymmetry in places will all add special character AND help the acoustics IMO. I tell you, bowls/spherical venues tend to lose the full power of sound. I think this will keep it being a very loud place in full-roar.

Yup. To me it looks like the screens will be assembled there, and then raised up into their final place when done.

I doubt they are frames for the screens so early in the build. I'd expect them to be temporary platforms to hold the hydraulic gear as part of the roof lift.

It's looking fantastic, can't wait to get in there for my first match :)

That's exactly why they designed it to retain the atmosphere.

I love the fact that there is not a club in this country that will have the same sort of build detail.

Arsenal may as well nuke their stadium and start again.

I read something last week we've got to give notice to the Premier League by the end of the month if we are going to move into the new staduim and if we are what date in August/September...is everything on time and is their a timetable for the next 6 months on what is expected to go in month by month??

Also has a bookmaker opened a book to give odds if we are moving in by August...looking at things with only 6 months to go it seems the niggle list might be quite long at the end!!

You mean the new West Stand? It only held 6 Thousand!

Get that roof up boys...... CoySpurs....

anyone know what the crack is re repayments on the loans undertaken for the build? presumably we're already repaying it/them as the works have been going on some time now but are the figures likely to change (increase?) once the stadium is finished and we've moved in?
