What Levy needed was an effective Director of football to run the "sporting" side of the club. TBF he tried that with Frank Arnesen before the cheaters from the Kings' Road stole him. If he had managed that I think he would have been seen as a truly great chairman.

That said the treatment of him at the stadium by some of the fan base was both horrific and unjustified.

I still think Trevor Birch in 2019 was his big play on releasing football ops. Birch was more of a GM as he's showing with the EFL where he has taken the senior position. The other guys were more DoF's based around recruitment. Birch would have been much bigger in club impact at a time where the stadium was launched and we moved into this new cashflow model.

To be fair you read a detailed post of mine, found one tiny bit of it that you could latch onto and then turned a Harry nickname from another forum into me creating a "Harry persona". Now you play the hypocrite card on me. You should perhaps understand why you are getting push back. That is, whilst not even engaging in the actual conversation we were having.

In forum terms, you played the man and not the ball.

I can see why a nickname could be a very small part of a persona so I sort of get where you're coming from but you're making them the same thing above. They're not. The bigger point is that we're often reading personas of Frank that aren't fair or from a solid basis.

Anyway, I'm sure the other posters are probably bored of this unhealthy exchange. Let's move on and be Spurs fans on the same team :cool:
