Thomas Frank - Head Coach

I think the one that might benefit is Johnson. The guy is just not a winger.

Frank might find him a setup based around 4-2-3-1 so he can get back to that intelligent destructive movement that he had at Forest. He's done well enough popping up in goalscoring positions even from the wide right. I can imagine what player he will become in the narrower space. He has the pace, first touch, one-touch passing and can actually thread a ball. I think Tel and Moore probably have the attributes to play in a 3 as part of a 4-2-3-1 as well. Kulu definitely does. Not sure yet about Odobert, but I have a feeling the toughest transition will be for our captain.
I heard in a podcast that he was actually looking to BJ to be more of a false 9 rather than a winger. Will be interesting to see how he's deployed.

If it even gets done this week, that's pretty quick. Relatively speaking.
Also, I think Justin Cochrane would have been away with England as part of the coaching team so that would inject an unavoidable delay to the process
Does it even matter? The transfer window isn't open for another 2 weeks (?) and first day of training is still 3 weeks away.

I know it's a selective sample, but I've been pining for us to play direct when we win the ball back instead of recycling it ad nauseum. It's going to be super exciting.
A quick switch pass from deep is something that was desperately lacking Ange. In part because we didn't really have the player but mainly because Ange clearly didn't want to use that tactic. Foolish really when he has players Johnson in the team who are useless on the ball but useful in rubbing on to it in space.

A lot of pseudo crystal ball gazing going on. Hope he's better than 'safe', otherwise he won't last 5 minutes.
In the true spirit of being an entitled customer, if he's any good, I'm right behind him.

I hear Frank likes a wonky back 4 i.e. push Porro up and Udogie stays deeper/slides across to defend with the centre backs. That is my preferred system as well, it has served us well this century.
If we have 2 sensible midfielders that don't vacate midfield, plus 3 at the back, it allows the other 5 the freedom to try to score by any means possible.

Those good old days when every season had a trophy parade…

Nicholson still remains responsible for:

Half of Tottenham’s league titles
Half of Tottenham’s European titles
Half of Tottenham’s League Cups
Over a third of Tottenham’s FA Cups

The days when fans started the season expecting and hoping for something to enjoy
So that when it happens we revel in it

Fed up of everyone banging on ad nauseum about winning a trophy. Now that we've got that monkey off our backs, can we please get back to get prioritising a top four finish?

Just for a change if nothing else!
Both. We should be aiming for top 4 and a solid cup run each season.
Falling slightly short is fine - that's top level sport.
When things align nicely, it results in winning a trophy.
Anything less than 6th (bad season or season where others over perform) and Qtrs in a cup is unacceptable.
3-5th and a Qtr or semi is a good season.
4th or above and a cup - very good season.

Ben Davies will be delighted!
Spence is probably the biggest winner there, and would allow Porro or Udogie to get forward. (And of course Spence can if needed).
