Thomas Frank - Head Coach

The Brentford forum I looked at a few days ago were very much in agreement that they didn't mind Frank taking certain staff, but at no costs was Cochrane to go (most wanted him as Franks successor). They must be seething :D....
It is probably a good sign to some of our youth as Cochrane's history has been with coaching younger players and he'll be pretty hot on wanting a pathway of opportunity for them.
We may not see all that many transfers in, considering the coaching set up that is being given reign here.

Look at where Wolves and Valencia were under him and where they are now. We treated him like turd and never gave him a chance.

Promising performances suffered when he had to integrate a sulking negative, slump-shouldered Kane into the team and he was sacked at the first sign of resulting trouble after giving him, what, Romero and Emerson in the transfer market....?

He quite simply didn’t have long enough. You could see what he was trying to do. Fans got on his back and Levy and Paratici had the option of Conte back on the table.

Nice to see Frank bringing Cochrane back to his roots , spent 9 years at the academy , left in 2018 so might have seen Mikey Moore as a 10 year old , he also worked as England U 15, 16 and 17's manager so probably well up on Scarlett as well . Certainly going to be interesting to see what route Frank will take , youth or transfer market.

Justin Cochrane chose Tottenham over Brentford

The most significant of the three acquisitions is Justin Cochrane, a former centre-back, who spent most of his playing days in the lower leagues.

Hackney-born Cochrane has had an extensive career in coaching since hanging up his boots in 2013, having been in charge of England’s youth sides at different age group levels.

Interestingly, the 43-year-old also spent a short time as an academy coach at Hotspur Way but his first job in senior football was with AFC Wimbledon, where he served as the assistant manager.

Cochrane spent the 2021-22 season as Man United’s director of development before joining as Frank’s assistant at the Gtech Community Stadium at the end of the season, a position which has held for the last three years.

The Athletic reveals that he was appointed as a part of the national team set-up under Thomas Tuchel on a part-time basis back in February, and he will continue those commitments after arriving at Tottenham.

Athletic performance coach Chris Haslam

Haslam currently serves as Brentford’s head of athletic performance and has worked for the club for more than a decade across two different spells.

At the West London club, he was responsible for all aspects of physical performance and sports science.

A sports scientist by training, he has served as Denmark’s fitness coach in the past and had a brief spell as the performance manager with Wigan Athletic.

Joe Newton joins Thomas Frank at Tottenham

Brentford’s first-team analyst, Newton, who has been with the Bees since 2019, will also follow Frank to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 29-year-old started his career as the match analyst for Wales’ Under-18s and held the same role at Welsh club New Saints FC before making the move to the Gtech Community Stadium six years ago.

This is him from six years ago

It’s like a slowmo reveal. Have the back room staff ever been “announced” before the new manager?

10 mins ago in the official website

"We can announce the departures of Mile Jedinak, Nick Montgomery and Sergio Raimundo from their roles as Assistant Coaches.

We should like to thank them for their contribution to the Club and wish them every success for the future."

No mention of Matt Wells or Rob Burch.
