The Official 2018/19 Premier League Thread

Strange we lose and we're finding the pressure hard to deal with yet when City, United, Chelsea and Woolwich fail to live up to the media's hype it's been a tough season particularly with all those european games, I suppose it's all down to who you support.

Arsenal and Chelsea have new managers and are in transition, both clubs need almost an entirely new back four.

We've had our challenges no doubt with injuries, stadium migrations, injuries, injuries, no signings and of course injuries. That said I still believe we are better than all of the teams below us and finishing below two of them let alone one would be a bad season for us. Not to mention we had a 10 point lead over all of them.

I expected the top 4 to be the same four teams that finished in the CL places last season to be honest.

What Man U? Surely they will not qualify?

He said expected. Before the De Gea mistake they would probably have been favourites for 4th, but now they need a lot of help. They should get 6 points (@Huddersfield, Cardiff) and Chelsea would have need six (Watford, @Leicester) to finish ahead of them, which might be beyond them. Now Chelsea just need to beat Watford to eliminate United.

What about 3rd? We've hardly been any better recently, and if you take account of the position a couple of months ago we have been worse.

The FA should just award 4th place to Wolves/Everton, because none of the other teams seem to want it.
Some mouthy taco in the pub during the Ajax game;
"We should give our 3rd and 4th place CL places back, because everyone else is so far behind City and Liverpool and won't do anything in the CL anyway"

Me (looking at him and then looking back at the screen mid sentence);
"You mean like be in the semi final?"

Cue lots of sniggering.

West Ham or Leeds?

At least Wolves won. Everton’s only motivation next week will be to fudge our season up.

So they’ll be motivated.

Well we can only hope our top four rivals continue screwing up too. Not very likely tomorrow though.

We better enjoy today, as it will be our last day in third place this season.

fudge off those fudging bin dippers are so fudging lucky its beyond belief! I fudging hate them with a passion!
