Absolutely shocking decision we should ask for Snicko not to be used.in the next two tests

Let's be honest even without the DRS fudge ups we have been really poor. England won't be talking about that it will be all about Snicko

Mate its horrendous.

I really dont know why they didnt pay a county team to fly Abu Dhabi for winter training and have a test warm up before continuing to Aus or something, loads of teams out there usually in winter (ok bit early for teams winter training) but just do something different which would at least get some prep into this lot, the batting looks so under cooked, you can't play yourself into form during an Ashes, ridiculous

Feel so bad for Ben Stokes. Constantly having to not play his own game, everyone dropping around him and he plays selflessly. His numbers might not be up there with the best, but he is up there for me. Time and time again he'll see one of his batsmen struggling and take up four or five balls of the over for them.

Most of them should hang their heads in shame, and as much as I love Root there is a question mark about him when wanting to be talked about in the same breath as Smith when he so constantly flops over here whilst Smith does the business everywhere.

Great player and a really good captain

Roots class, you just can't do what he has done in cricket and not be, especially in all formats of the game. Special player

Regardless of Ashes results I think he's a great captain, the players have let him down IMO and don't think we have enough good players supporting him.

Oh I agree, Root is class it wasn't meant as a big put down. I'm just talking more about who is the best of the best, Smith comes to our country and looks so difficult to get out. For the life of me I can't figure out why someone as good as Root struggles here, I'd understand more if it was in India....

Is this the worst ever performance in an Ashes series so far? I think it’s the worst in my memory? Even when they were clearly better in the 90’s we still got the odd score on the board and took it deep on occasions in tests, even if we ultimately lost them.

That first test loss is the biggest fudge up i can think of, to be in (almost) complete control of the test match at lunch on day 2 with 8 wickets in hand, to then lose by close of play was just criminal.

all I kept hearing was England had been planning for this series & we had learnt from previous losses. In reality they haven't prepared for Australian conditions at all. The pace & bounce seems to have completely confused them it's like they expected English conditions.

The stupid thing is Australia were there for the taking especially in the first two tests & we have completely fudged it up

Yea this Aussie side is actually pretty average, but we’re making them look like 70’s/80’s Windies!

Na not for me, when we had them fly home through fear and the one when we thought Hameed was an opener good enough for the Ashes. They were by far worse.

The opening test we should have won and you could argue we were in a place not to have lost the last. From what respect we have been horrific, but at least we were in them, we have had tours before when we were not even in it from day 1.

This is 3/4 sessions in 3 and half tests where we have thrown this IMO

Hmm I’m not sure personally…. We don’t even look like making a par score, let alone a good one….. so far at least (fingers crossed). Even with much poorer sides against FAR superior Aussie ones we’ve been more competitive with the bat at times.

Bowling, yea it hasn’t been a complete disaster, we bowled well in the first innings of the first test but since then? Very hit and miss to put it politely.

Maybe I should say it’s the worst batting performance I can remember then.
