I think that's as much to do with Lenglet being crap and Son not defending, much more synergy down the right with Romero and Kulu TBF...

Nah, its because they are both bad defenders.

Wing backs in a Conte system are there to provide attacking/creative threat, it's why he plays 3 CBs & 2 deep laying CMs to cover the imbalance

I think every player on the pitch is defensive responsibility first, have to win the ball before you can use the ball.
