***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Racist Rent Boys***

Id match them up man for man. 3-4-3

-------CCV------Dier----Vertonghen-------

Walker---Wanyama---Dembele----Nkodou

----------Lamela-----
-----------------------------------Son-------------
----------------------Kane------------------------

That is a good back line. Wanyam and Dier can help cover. Kane and George to run up and down a bit. And the three up front.

Erikson - Dropped
Alli - Needs to rest
Wimmer - Playing like someone who has left in his head.
Janssen - Not the right game for someone who has not found his yet.
Winks - Not ready for the battle needed in this.

Would be happy if Lamela is fit but dont think he is ready.

Unless our squad gets a quick sense of pride we could get a regular gut spanking. And not in a good way. Poch needs to motivate these millionaires to grow a pair and play with a sense of purpose and pride.

I wonder if the Dier/Wimmer performance last night has put their selection as a pair in to doubt at the weekend?

Any potential options should we play Verts at CB?

Verts is cunning enough to cope with Costa and potentially get him sent off

We can't play the same formation as the last two games or we will be smashed.

Our best hope is to match them.

We need Toby back so badly, without him I think it could be a smashing.

Truth is we haven't been the same team since this game last season. We enjoyed Dier killing them but we've not been the same fluid, impressive team

We desperately need some good surprising good news on the injury front for this game with regards Toby and or Davies.

If both are out I seriously fear for us away at that lot with a makeshift defence.

I read last night that TA is definitely out of Saturday based on a journalist asking Poch after the game.

Here comes our first EPL defeat. And when saying 'defeat' I'm being optimistic, because some people will use words 'spanking', 'trashing' etc
I have no idea how we can cope with in-form EPL side away, which has 17-0 winning run and didn't play on midweek, without two main defenders (plus Davies) and Lamela who was by far our best attacking midfielder before injury. I have a feeling as if he and Toby have been injuried for ages.
Doom and gloom in my mind.

Ok, i am doom and gloom right now. I see our play progressively getting more laboured and more static.
I also know we don;t have Danny Rose. Plus we wont have his back-up who is at least a specialist left-back.

So can anybody who is more optimistic come on in and let's discuss how we can combat Chelski tactically. Lets turn the pessimism into optimism but discussing what can be done tactically (not just beating chests and shouting COYS; no doubt the guys actually going will do that anyway!)

Come on, speak to me @thfcsteff , @BrainOfLevy ,@braineclipse, @Finney Is Back, @diego_maradona, @billyiddo

Please!

All I can hope is that Poch has been tinkering with the formation a lot recently because he's seen how well Chelsea have done with their switch and wanted to get similar benefits. I like his flexibility and I hope he has a plan to combat a 3-4-3 because I think if we went in with the 4-2-3-1 that Bournemouth found easy to stifle then we would get rolled over.

So hopefully the flexibility means we could spring a surprise as at Arsenal...but to be honest I'm a bit non plussed with everything Spurs right now. Usually if we have a few bad results there's some positivity to hold on to. Even after a few bad performances there's still some good moves we put together. Or that we're just waiting for some key players to come back. And that's almost still the case. But right now I can't see how it's gone so wrong, how we've gotten so bad. And I think the fact we are undefeated in the league masks the fact that we have been really, really bad, certainly for the last 6-8 weeks but even before that, there were some pretty shoddy performances.

I wouldn't want to be in the trenches with you lot. We might as well pack up now and have the league award the points to everyone we have to play. This is what I real dislike about some Spurs fans and understand why other clubs think we are a joke. I'm not happy about defeats and our form but the pessimism on this site is corrosive.
Though it's pessimism it is also talking sence.
If it wasn't Chelsea or some other 3-4 top in-form clubs, the mood in the thread would have been much better despite our CL campaign failure.
Saying 'everything all right, we'll smash Chelsea away despite their 17-0 winning streak' is defenitely a bigger joke and a loss of reality.
Staying a bit pessimistic after yesterday's shameful perfomance is a normal thing which will help some fans to pass the upcoming defeat easier or make an unexpected win much brighter and memorable.

Still everyone will be supporting Spurs this weekend and in any other situations.
Don't make it as if I or any other fans who currently feel pessimistic, won't give a fck about upcoming fixture or don't belive in a good result. In my heart I defenitely do. In my mind, considering all the factors, I personally don't.

Cheers bro!

The bolded bit i agree with and that's what scares me the most too:(
Even the clean sheets have dried, even when we're gifted a goal back into a game it doesn't seem to spark us...

Can Kyle Walker-Peters play at LB?

Lets confuse the f#ck out of them by having a Kyle Walker on each wing

Connor Ogilvie is our most senior LB after Rose and Davies. He's got senior experience at Stevenage. Although Anton Walkes got a bit of a run out at LB in the League Cup this season.

Err, and formations and stuff.

Trippier played LB occassionally at Burnley I believe. He'll be LB at the weekend. Back 3 as well
