***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur Football Club vs AFC Bournemouth***

We didnt even try though, thats the issue.

We literally helped Son sign for LA, he went to gr We ta lengths to thanks us for it.

We knew Kane was leaving, it was on the cards for long enough, we replaced him with Richy and then Solanke.

Some club
Anyone remember all those people who said we were a better side when Kane didn’t play? Heard it from some fans, opposition fans and some media. fudging hilarious notion then and even more hilarious in hindsight.

Semenyo is 6 years older. We paid for potential with Tel, and I think he has the ability to make it. He looks physically strong and direct, of course things still need to come together but I like the look of him and deserves a decent run if not for his attitude alone.....
Aye, not writing him off. Just pointing out the difference right now. It's says a lot about where we are currently and even says a bit about when people say things like how can x,y,z team have better players than us. We are quite middling as it stands.

well, that needs qualifying, at times we were, when he had a cob on, or wasn't fully fit

wasn't there some crazy stat at some point where we scored more points when he was injured and Son ended up winning the golden boot

he's the best finisher the game has ever seen, but he wasn't always in the right frame of mind

He plays two DMs, boring fudging football and concedes 3 and loses to a side that hasn't won since October .. nope, can't be anything to do with the manager.

His old club lost two of their best players and is having the best season of their history now he is gone? funny that

fudging hell, I really am missing something ..
I bet if Frank was at Brentford they'd still be doing better than us...

It's not the manager...although he does play a part.

We had territory, we had momentum, players were flying forward tonight.

I get the criticism of Frank’s style in general. But the players need to execute on the pitch. This wasn’t a bad performance. We got sucker punched but we’ve seen way worse than this. Brentford was so much worse. I don’t think this on Frank’s decisions. It was bad luck and a failure to execute in the moments that mattered.
I told yah! We can't play progressive football well! 😅😭

The problem was that, at times, statistically we were better in terms of points won over a short run of games. The stupidity of it was that those conclusions were being drawn without consideration for who we were playing or what a generational talent Kane is and was.

Never rely on stats used in isolation and without context.

Interesting to see those militants about Frank were actually saying how much better quality we needed in the summer. One search revealing TBH.

Sucker punched indeed!

That's not how it works at this level.

You don't get paid millions to say Xavi (a guy who came through Barca academy) is uncoachable.
Xavi has been unlucky. He was building a head of steam then had that sending off. He needs a couple of games to regain that momentum. Think he will be fine. Muani on the other hand does not look suited to the PL at all.

I have no issue with Xavi mate, or Odobert or half this team, given the right coaching, a system with fundamentals (triangles, patterns, usage of width/pace/something) and the freedom to play at pace with tempo, we would do better (again, not saying we are top 4, but there is more in this side). And if the manager can't get more out of this side, he's got to go.

Exactly that. Barca let him go , he didn`t make it at PSG had a bit of success in a crap league in Holland at PSV but they let him go to Leipzig not exactly a top team in Germany then we buy him for 60 million euros. Please tell me what you have seen from him that makes you think he is going to turn into a top player that all the top teams in Europe would want to pay £100 million plus for? He looks championship level to me but if you think otherwise that is fine. If he turns into a player half as good as say Erickson or Modric for us I will happily eat humble pie
