Any "t e a m n e w s" yet ?

Hope Lamela starts this match as he has been one of our best player for the last 10 matches. It will really lift us if our new signings Sissoko and Janssen help us get a goal or two as well. Just can't see us get a big win like the 4-0 win over Stoke last season. Let's hope we will do just enough to get all the 3 points here.

Official team info ....
Lloris (C)

Walker - Alderweireld - Vertonghen - Davies

Dier - Wanyama

Eriksen - Alli - Son

Kane

Subs:
Vorm
Trippier
Carter-Vickers
Winks
Lamela
Sissoko
Janssen

Son rewarded for saying no to the South Korean national team? Dedication to Spurs and you get games... Time to step it up for Son, a lot of competition for places right now.

Good looking team. Glad Sissoko wasn't thrown in deep in midfield and fair to start him on the bench. Winks not ready yet I suppose so Dier and Wanyama it is.

Edit: Are we taller than Stoke today???

And that's with no Dembele, Rose, Wimmer, Carroll and NKoudou

And the dumb pundits all seem to be keen on pointing out that we have NOT strengthened our starting line-up but have ignored the upgrade to our bench

Hoped we might be a bit more adventurous against Stoke... also think Wanayama at DM disturbs Dier's game a bit and Dier was excellent last year.

Agree about the last bit. And in our last game when Walker went off and Dier went to RB, Wanyama suddenly looked a lot better as his role was clearer
