Cavill is doing the new Highlander reboot films (By the John Wick creator). I'm guessing they will tie him up for a while if they end up making a few of them like Wick.

It was originally called ‘Ford v Ferrari’. They just changed it to Le Mans 66 over here for some reason which doesn’t sound anywhere near as good as Ford v Ferrari.

Just not sure Dev Patel would be a good fit, he’s a very good actor but has he got the physical chops for it? Also has to be someone desirable to women, I’m sure some women do but he’s not suave like Elba.

I don't really like movies but the wife makes me watch every time it is on a film he was in about a bunch of old people in a hotel in India.

Was alright first time, bit like love actually. Dont know how people watch a movie more then once.
 
Bored of bond but at least stick to who he is.

If you want to make a film about slum dog millionaire becomes a spy. Do that but don't call him bond. I'd actually prefer to watch it. Different backstory. Hell make him 008 if you want.

There's room for new stories.

The only reason you'd call him bond is for marketing and to virtue signal. But the film would die a death, cause it would tinkle off a lot of people.

Considering where MI6 agents are operating in the world at the moment, do you not think most British spies this century are likely to be British Asians and British North Africans?

It would be pretty tough sneaking round northern Pakistan looking for Bin Laden's lair if you looked like Roger Moore or Timothy Dalton.

For me the one red line with casting is simply just not an american actor.

Daniel Craig is like 5'8, practically a little person playing Bond.

Yes but bond is from scottish nobility.

As i said i'd prefer to watch a film about an asian british spy. Different origin etc... but why call him bond?

He’s 5’10 so hardly Tom Cruise. Ultimately it won’t change my life that much whoever they end up casting. Just get the best person for the role. A person’s skin colour or ethnicity shouldn’t come into it. IMO the only requirement should be that the actor is British. Americans seem to struggle with the English accent. The only one who doesn’t is Johnny Depp but he’s far too old now and tbh wouldn’t have been suitable in his prime anyway.

There is no agenda other than I think he’d be awesome as Bond

They are actors. They act.
