...and the amazing make up sex.Never go back, I know, I know.. but oh...
It is like that one ex, the one you never seem to quite get over, and you keep thinking, "what if..." and "just one last try!"
And you keep thinking about all the crap rom-com-movies with happy endings she made you watch. And before you know it, you think "it could happen.. it SHOULD happen!"
And then reality kicks you in the teeth, and it all ends in tears. Again!
But not this time! Oh no!! Surely not this time... (?)
Avb, "I was scared of the big jump."
And she's been taught how to give a happy ending by her last fella....and the amazing make up sex.
It's almost impossible to compare two managers so I can't answer that question. I don't keep a ranking of my former girlfriends either. Now, are there interesting options out there? Definitely. Whether we can (or want to) bring them in is another matter entirely but without even trying too hard, I can think of a dozen managers I'd rather see appointed before a the man we sacked two years ago.
Again, I don't think anyone questions the fact that he's been our most successful manager of the Premier League era. He's done some great things here but, really, I don't get the nostalgia and I admit it goes way beyond football. Life's about moving forward, not backwards! I have no interest in meeting people I attended school or college with. In any case, it really reads like, to some people, the man's bigger than the club.
I'll wish him the best if he's reappointed but going back for him doesn't strike me as something a big, forward-thinking club would do.
I believe PSG won the French Cup a week ago so he's got that monkey off of his back.I've said it before but this cult-like meteorology around Pochettino is something I can't get my head around. I guess it goes beyond football. I've never believed in saviours and messiahs, and I've always known that even the greatest artists have flaws. Sometimes, it feels like there's only one man on planet football who can managed this club (a club that will certainly be renamed Pochettino Hotspur at some point). I admit I find that... disturbing, even more so when you consider he's won a grand total of zero trophies.
I've finally found out the reason why you think he is good, which has always puzzled me as you seem an educated chap.... It's because you fancy him isn't it?... It's a bit like me thinking Danni Minogue is a good singer!Well if we are happy to reappoint youngish, good looking, former managers that have a defined style, but one who has also won trophies and not currently in a job, I can think of someone...
Tottenham 2015-2017 was the best Spurs side I've ever seen in my 31 years of support As long as he was able to rebuild the squad I'd be all for him coming back.

Indeed.... Poch with an excellent DoF and Levy having learned from his mistakes and not cheaping out on him could be the golden ticket....- Attractive football
- Develops players
- High profile for attracting players
- Immensely popular with fans
- Immensely popular with players
- Proven success within structure and constraints such as ours
No one else on the short-lists ticks even half those boxes.
I would definitely though like to see him work alongside Rangnack or another DoF, as transfers seemed an aspect of the job that he was never interested/would ideally delegate. That would maybe help with the emotional side of moving on players too (if it wasn't primarily up to him).
I think it was fairly obvious that Poch had become somewhat frustrated a while before his sacking. Something would have to change in order for it to work.Thats a fair point. If he isnt going to have money to spend, perhaps better to look elsewhere this time? Would Poch get frustrated to come back to the same financial situation and net-zero transfer windows?
No one else ticks even half those boxes? Ten Hag literally ticks all of those except for possibly high profile for attracting players - but I don’t think Poch was at Spurs either, we recruited talented players but didn’t attract superstars and I don’t think it would be any worse/different under Ten Hag either.....- Attractive football

1 game doesn’t tell the tale though does it? He had Leicester finishing above where they should and won an F.A cup while using young players and playing good football. So, after Sunday's did anyone who wanted Rodgers as our next manager change their mind?
Or did any who wanted him, still want him?
Curious to hear people's thoughts on this (and apologies if it's already been discussed above...!)
He was unlucky with the timing of things first time round. Unbeaten at home 2016/2017 then we move to Wembley and no longer have the Fortress or a home. Then there was the timing of some players having their heads turned. Maybe it was after 2 years of giving absolutely everything but winning nothing, whilst seeing less talented players earning twice as much at the likes of the Manchester clubs but we had both Rose and Walker( who were important parts of the way we played) saying they wanted to leave. It's kind of funny to think of the Rose interview where he was basically saying that he would leave us for a City or a Chelsea. Now we can't even flog him to Saudi Sportswashing Machine!
