Otherwise Stellini and Mason would have been caretakers, not confirmed for the rest of the season, if it wasn't done you'd be ready to swap when your choice was available.

Mason two seasons ago was similar, wasn’t it? We were still looking for a manager a few days before the next season started.
 
I want Poch, but for his own sake, I hope he doesn't take the job. He'd be mad and a masochist to do it! Even he can't mend this brick! It's beyond a joke now. Levy will do well to find anyone with any kind of an ambition, willing to manage this lot of spineless clowns.
 
Mason & Stellini in charge till the end of the season so I'm going to take a wild guess that we won't be appointing anyone before then.
Can't say for sure, but if Levy hasn't made a move for Nagelsmann before Potter was sacked, I think our chance has gone now.
