Mikey Moore

I mean it was pretty obvious before that he's not ready. But it hasn't stopped people up until now banging on about 'Moore should be given more minutes' all because of a couple of decent touches.

As per usual there is a reason why these young players aren't being given more game time, but it's always easy to whinge about them not being played - until they are and you see why they haven't used....

The only way he becomes ready is with experience. He won't get that sitting on the bench.
People were saying that bergvall wasn't ready. After a few games though he improved.
Last night was a meaningless game for us. It was good he got time on the pitch.

The big difference between Bergvall and Moore was Bergvall had played a season against men and is physically stronger,

Yes and the likes of you were asking for him to be given minutes in games well before this one. Bergvall has far more experience than Moore and physically way ahead of him, it's chalk and cheese.

Yes he needs experience, but that experience will be a loan probably in the Championship...

Maybe. But it's not a reason why he shouldn't have started last night.

Thing is he is 17 years old, obviously a supreme talent, been wiped out by a virus and is currently playing under one of the rank bad managers in Spurs history.

I am willing to give the lad the benefit of the season, his age and the fact he needs a loan or two like others.

Not sure the "told you so's" look that great given the lads age TBF

When it comes to the youngsters, this season of all seasons has ended up being the one to give them game time...with the injuries and EL the opportunities to play are massive, and the benefits are there to reap.

No European football next season or CL football those opportunities just won't be there.

Gonna mean decent level loans you would think.......a few need them

You seem to be creating a debate that wasn't even being had. The fact is he's not ready for PL football, and your posts are making out as if people are criticising for where he is at, when your post actually supports the point being made in saying that he is 17 and he needs a loan and is not ready for PL football - it's that simple....

For now we can't loan him out. We have nothing to play for in the league so give him minutes.

Maybe I misread the tone with statements about "whingers" and "the likes of you"

Just read like some Harry Hindsight "told you so" thats all, if I am wrong, I will put my hands up and say I misread it

People have questioned for past couple of months why Moore isn't getting minutes. Last night showed exactly why, the same reason that has previously been said and some want to ignore - he's not ready. That's not a slant on the kid, he's 17. He is talented and come through the Spurs system and because of this as usual people are overhyping him and he needs to walk before he can run.

We are in agreement that he needs a loan in the Championship, he like previous young players here will be better for it....

Not sure thats the case, anyone who has seen him in the pro ranks spoke of a lad who is supremely talented and his talents were better than the senior ranks even in the "Youth" ranks.

Wanting to see him out of excitement, especially in a season where the manager has written off the league is hardly "overhype"

I would be cautious on both sides to make quick judgements too, I mean one game does not define a players potential, so jumping up and down about how bad he was yesterday doesn't tell a full story either, no more than when he came on in the EL and was excellent earlier in the season.

I would say let people be and let them be excited about the potential of youth, it doesn't always have to be met with sour notes

I for one hold high hopes for the lad and can't wait to see what his career brings
